Im updating the Wiki a lot over the next couple of weeks as I settle in to look through and start doing what I originally intended to do when I finally got the full set for myself - go through each deck and see what I can find.
But I also thought it be a good time to add a 'Crossover' section to the Fan Created section - I know there are a couple of cross overs but my mind is blanking on what they were! Anyone mind linking them up for me here?
Devastation of Indines features Legacy as a fighter kit with four Strikers (cards representing fighters in the game that can "assist" the main fighter) as the remaining Freedom Five members (which can be used with Legacy or with other fighters).
Legacy's kind of a weird one as far as crossovers go because promo characters for Devastation aren't legal in official tournament play. So even though in principle there's no storyline reason in either universe that Legacy couldn't show up in Indines (via spaceship or interdimensional portal or what have you), it would seem that any such appearance is non-canonical.
Devastation of Indines is a card game using the Battlecon system. (The first Battlecon game was War of Indines). It's a strategy game intended to emulate 2d fighting games like Streetfighter, set in the high-magitech fantasy world of Indines.
In Battlecon, characters simultaneously and secretly select their attack, which consists of a Base (a particular type of attack, e.g. a charge or a fireball) and a Style which modifies that attack. All (or almost all) characters have access to the same six Bases, plus their own unique Base, 5 Styles, a unique ability, and a Finisher. There are 30 characters in the base Devastation box, and they all feel different, so there should be a lot of replayability.
The post that announced the Legacy promo character is below. Strikers (which are an optional expansion element) are explained on the first page of that Kickstarter.
I think I understand why Legacy wouldn't be tournament legal in battlecon (devastation of indines)... I don't recall having a chance to playtest him and work on his balancing. In fact, I don't remember ever seeing his strikers in any file to print and test out. But he looks fun.
