So between Quando? Ahora!, Be the Gate, Time v. Time, and Ivana Ramonat and the Legacy of Destruction, we have a lot of alternate universe heroes and villains running around but not yet a whole lot of ideas of how they ended up so different from "our" versions or what their rivalries and battles were like.
So I was wondering if anyone had any pet theories or speculations that have been running around in their heads to share?
(Personally I still like my theory that in the Quando? Ahora! universe it was Nightmist who found the Bell and Anthony who was inspired to go find out what happened to his grandfather that disappeared in the pursuit of real magic. I always wondered if that matching of name was intentional on Christopher's part.)
I think The Everyman was probably an American secret super-soldier, revealed to the public in response to the terror of The Red Menace, a Russian man who became a fire elemental-ish being in a freak accident!
With Legacy of Destruction I imagine a case where Joseph Parsons either worked for the British from the onset or betrayed Paul Revere. As time went on the USSR and its allies fought against the oppressive British kingdom. Eventually they beaten due to the aid of the Legact of Destruction, whom I assume their first name remains the same through generations but is no longer Paul, and areas like Mordengrad are under heavy watch. Eventually an inventor named Fyodor was born and brought Mordengrad into some prominence. However, he did not want to use his inventions on his own people and the current Legacy of Destruction was brought in to take him down. His daughter, Ivana, had idolized her father and was just as brilliant so she took up creating inventions in secret to stop the Legacy of Destruction to allow her people the freedom they deserve.
Ivana Ramonat and Legacy of Destruction's story is one that really interests me. If I could be a competent GM, I'd make a Sentinels RPG game set in that world.
Ramboscade is apparently a genuinely good person who got scarred doing heroic thing and mixes in genuine super heroics with his movie career , he is much nicer than our Ambuscade and thus I think won't survive oblivaeon
I will say I'm very curious about some of the other morality swaps, too.
Like the good-aligned Akash'Bhuta, Seraph, and the good-aligned Ermine. What are Anthony, Hellion (I think was the name for evil!Fanatic) and Maia like in those timelines?
I want the story on the Setbacks from the other universes. Do we know what the name of the one on 'Quando? Ahora!', or what the character on his chest means?
From what I've heard the one on 'Be the Gate!' is called Lucky Strike, or something like that?
I think your mistaken Lucky strike is the one on QA (which I think is the writing on his chest) The one on BTG is called Breakthrough ( the opposite of a setback)
