Has GtG stated whether sharing the character sheet aspect of the Starter Kit PDF is allowed to facilitate online/play-by-post play? I ask because the character sheet packets have art and a significant amount of system rules so I would assume sharing the files would be a no-go, but at the same time you really can't play without the characters.
I submitted a question to the company but they are pretty busy and it hasn't been answered yet so I figured I would ask if this had been addressed already.
That's on our radar to make crystal clear. We definitely want to make it easy to facilitate online play and just have to make sure to cover our bases legally.
That response sounds like "it's fine to share but we can't SAY it's fine to share until our legal team writes something official" and I'm honestly not sure where that leaves me (or anyone else that wants to run a game unless every single person playing owns the Starter Kit).
The Starter Kit has been out for like a year or more. Have you been actively seeking out and prosecuting online players for using the character sheets?
One interesting workaround - there are two add-on starter kit adventures. One of which has a different team, and is free in PDF. If you trust them to not read the adventure...
(I plan on getting the dead tree... .)
