So as a Super Sentai fan, and a Sentinels fan, I was pretty chuffed when I saw the varient for the new Idealist.
I just had to ask all of the questions though.
What does the Idealist think of Power Rangers?
Which is her favourite Super Sentai?
Does she also like Kamen Rider, or is she a Sentai Purist?
What does she think of modern Sentai compared to the older ones?!
If she's patterned her outfit after them I bet she's a continuing fan. Or at least I hope so.
Why not ask these questions on the Friday art stream?
My daughter, who is obsessed with the crazy insane dinosaur power rangers that is on TV at the moment, caught sight of the Idealist promo and said "that's my new character". At least I'll finally get to play Unity again for a change.
Dino Charge is so Good! One of the Power Rangers in recent memory that has been better than the Sentai.
Would have loved to ask in the Friday Art Stream, but I do not think it occured at a particularly friendly time for me yesterday.
I hope she is a continuing fan too. Her outfit looks like it took a lot of cues from Dairanger, which some elements, not including the suits, where worked into MMPR season 2. It is hard to imagine that was more than 20 years ago now!!!
I really hope her variant also comes with additional special cards to include into her deck e.g two forms (human mode and transformed mode), sentai weapons, striker robot!
I was thinking about her mechanics last night and theorizing that her deck would revolve around putting out different, smaller mecha as hero targets and boosting their power. And if you were able to play all of the smaller mecha, you could combine them into an ultra-mecha.
But then I thought that would only be a possibility if Super Sentai Idealist was the base character card. Since Sentai Idealist is the promo, her deck probably won't have a lot to deal with Sentai stuff.
Unlikely, but a fun idea!
