Zhu's Bell. The first musical artifact to be found that turned out young bartender into Argent Adept. There is a heavy eastern tint to the artwork, possibly outside of a dojo. We see Operative shot full of arrows in a similar area, as well as KNYFE dispatching a bunch of ninjas in a similar area as well. From the latest Podcast, Christopher seemed to drop a hint that the Bell belonged to the previous Virtuoso.
Nightmist was taught to use her curse by an old Chinese Master. Someone old and very knowlegable in the ways of magic and power.
Zhu Long is the only really eastern villain we have seen. He possibly has the power of resurection judging by his cards power and flavor text in the V5 decks, which could connect the resurection of Mr Fixer after his death.
Zhu Long in Chinese mythology represented Light, or more literally, "torch dragon", with a scarlet body and head of a man. When its eyes opened, there would be daylight. Zhu Long resided in a mountain far north and at least one source said it lived at one of the heaven gates. It's light was so powerful that it could penetrate the underworld itself. This interpretation lends itself to powers of resurection in a way.
My question:
Are all three of these connected? Could Zhu Long have been the previous owner of the Bell that Argent Adept now carries? Was he the Chinese Master to teach Nightmist of her curse? Did he resurect Fixer, marking him with the Dragon Tattoo we see on his Dark Watch promo?
Edit: If Zhu Long is connected to all of these aspects, is he also connected to the Miststorm we see in Tactics? If he was so knowledgable about Nightmists curse, and we know that Zhu Long returns in the Tactics timeline, maybe he is somehow responsible here as well?
I don't really think that he dropped a hint. I'm fairly certain it has well been confirmed that every instrument in his deck belongs to a Virtuoso of the Void. Note that in his Bio, he goes out searching for all the Instrument. Really no reason for him to pick up ones that had not previously belonged to a Virtuoso of the Void.
I parse (no pun intended) Foote's original statement to mean "the Virtuoso of the Void who was the immediate predecessor of Anthony Drake," if that helps.
Continueing with Argent Adept's Bio, it mentions that Akash'Bhuta had destroyed the previous Virtuoso of the Void's instrument, which is a fiddle. The bell is just the first one he comes into contact with.
Oh, sorry if I was talking fast on the podcast. ("What?! Christopher talking fast?! That never happens!") The Bell is ABSOLUTELY NOT the instrument of the prior Virtuoso of the Void. In fact, the Bell is(was) the oldest of the instruments recovered by The Argent Adept.
He breaks the bell? I wonder if other instruments get destroyed as well?
That could explain the prime warden promo? Maybe he can channel those instruments without having them physically which would kinda explain the way they look sorta odd but all around him on the art.
Sure it looks like stained glass, but I don't think he is literally standing behind stained glass that just happens to contain his instruments. I think it's supposed to represent something. His new power changed from Vocalize to Conduct. Like he is conducting and using his full arsenal of powers at the same time
