Ahh, someone beat me to mentioning the EPE - that was the first thing I thought of, too :D. Char is also someone who generally needs to be be dealt with as something of a priority (even more so if any Rabits...err, Imprisoned Rogues are out ;)).
Citizen Truth. You know it in your heart. Him coming out is almost as bad as Devastating Aurora, unless you've got a *ton* of firepower on hand and nothing else you desperately need to kill. And even if you've killed him once, him being dead makes Return With The Dawn tens times scarier, because every single turn there's a chance he'll be back.
Yeah, Truth is pretty nasty. Also, the dreaded Blood/Sweat/Tears combo, and the COHORTS.
Blood, Sweat, and Tears or really anything else that forces a discard are in my list of hated cards to be sure. Although because it hadn't been mentioned here yet I'll submit: The Informant and cards like her. These cards that that punish you for a standard action, and you have to do said action to deal with them. Specifically the out of turn villian plays can really let things get out of hand quickly.
The Periapt of Woe with Runes of Malediction is just an annoying hurdle, but on Orb of Delerium it can slog the game down to a halt with low damage heroes.
The Amazing Mable. True, she's easy to kill, but she's easily the most dangerous of all La Capitan's crew. Kill on Sight, and heaven help you if your team is melee heavy.
Oh, gawd, I forgot about bloody Mable...urgh :P. Yeah, she has to die ASAP >:(. Runes and Effigy are a pain in the arse too. And I agree on the Truth-and-Anvil pairing. And the Informant. Boooo :P.
Claustrophobic Delusion turns target-heavy decks into this. Well, if you have no environment destruction, at least.
The Hitman.
Especially after Chairman has flipped.
You mean the Contract?
I’m gonna have to go with the Sweat + Tears combo. Especially if Truth is also in play…
That or the Cohorts. The Matriarch is tough enough with all the birds and the retaliation damage for all the birds, but then she also has the Carrion Fields. And THEN she ALSO has the Cohorts. And THEN one of them pulls the other out of the trash.
Do Prison Break, Darken the Skies, Devastating Aurora, and Forced Deployment count?
EPE jumped to mind first. Many of the others mentioned. Particularly the Informant. Char comes to mind. There's an Ennead card that destroys hero cards and then unleashes a ton of fire damage.
EPE?
Electro-Pulse Explosive in Omnitron's deck.
Because when it comes out, you totally say "Eep!"
EPE because it's pretty much guranteed to be the first card off the deck when you are playing Omni with some long setup heroes, or 3 player, or both (not that I experienced that recently, grr). Then when you kill it the second one comes out the next turn
Or they both come out the first turn because of rampaging robot...
I don’t really think the Electropulse Explosive counts as a “demonic spider,” though. It’s SUPPOSED to be a big hit, like the Conqueror.
Instagibbing the whole team on turn 1 was probably not a strictly intended outcome.
