I read the latest Kickstarter update, which mentioned the Downloads link on the new home page, and went to the new home page to check it out. But I couldn't find it. I figured it'd be up top with the other important links, but it's not there. I scanned the boxes at the bottom of the page, but all I could find were boxes for News, Twitter, Facebook, and Mailing List...
Oh wait, there it is, inexplicably shoehorned into the Mailing List box. I'm sure some will say that that's not a Mailing List box but rather a multi-purpose box full of various stuff, but since all the other boxes are all single-purpose, having the last box be a trash bin for links that didn't fit other places is hazardous from a usability perspective. I suggest either the box be redesigned so it's obvious that various unrelated links can be found within it (weak) or that the box be given a single purpose like the others and unrelated links be moved elsewhere (strong).
Am I just an idiot and the "Downloads" button was up in the row of navigation options all along, or was it moved up there recently? Because now I'm seeing it both at the top and still at the bottom, and I can't remember if it'd always been at the top and I'm just stupid.
No, it was added up there, but there are still the same amount of buttons up there as always... Though I can't quite tell what is no missing... Or maybe they didn't take anything out at all? Man this is getting confusing.
About has gone missing, no doubt moved to protect secret identities. (though you can still access the page from the company info link at the bottom of each page)
I think they should replace the FAQ link with the About link. That link isn't exactly pulling its weight when it comes to top-level important links. Not a lot going on.
