You know they’ll scramble your brain, right?
Oh my god D:
*Looks dis-approvingly at the thread* All of you are now in permanent time out.
Do we need a two-minute timer for this?
I'm torn between being disapproving of the puns and then realizing that the sentiment I want to express is "Look I hate to rain on everyone's jokes, but I was really enjoying the discussion of cheesy fake TV shows, Sentinels-themed fairy tales, and the fact that Maerynian reproduction is the ultimate crack ship generation device" and now I hate fandom jargon for making me have to add to the pun chaos anyway.
sniff
I love you folks…
And… on topic, I love how the Maerynian eggs open up entertaining possibilities for RPG character creation!
And we'll have to find out which Scions attacked the refuge…
We know of at least one Scion from the Lifeline episode.
From a passing comment on the patreon Discord, its Empyreon. Though it may also be more then just Empyreon.
Yep, that’s the one mentioned in the Lifeline episode.
At least with what Maerynian societal structures sound like, none of them are going to go poking random people and then charge them for egg support. :B
Oh god. A Maerynian infused with Empyrions energy powers boosted by his scionness.
Think of the kick-ass lightning tricks they could pull.
I mean, really, Tempest will probably end up with no shortage of heroes willing to volunteer for babysitting duty.
Of course, the category of "people Tempest could actually trust to do a good job with babysitting duty versus being well-meaning but terrible" is probably a fair bit smaller.
(And then there's the categories of "Heroes who probably have a polite but uncomfortable reaction to children" and "Heroes who have to try to come up with the most tactful way of saying they just kinda hate kids of any species".)
Setback.
beat me too it.
setback is in the "oh god don't let them near the child even if they are well meaning" category
"Thank you for looking after him, Amanda. I'll be back by ten."
two hours later
"Why does he have a gun Amanda"
I was about to say, "Well, duh, he'll just leave the kid with Haka, Haka is big and indestructible and loves kids and loves teaching people, he's the perfect babysitter", and then I remembered that the Haka who would do that is stuck in the wrong universe and now I'm sad.
I am also imagining Tempest's kid having the combined abilities of the entire Prime Wardens because Tempest spends so much time with them -a little Void-wielding winged super-strong weather wizard who forms lightning constructs.
So, it's not just Tempest who can bear an egg this way....and ALL the Maerynians have these powers.
If a human visits Plavucol, how many Maerynians do they come in contact with? How many of those are egg-bearing?
well the constructs and void crud aren't really genetic and I'm not entirely sure what fanatics situation is genetically so just about the only thing that is definitely possible for sure is a super strong weather wizard.
So, per the Prime Wardens episode, it’s been “YEARS” since Tempest became egg-y. And Christopher reminded us that Maerynians mature in about a decade.
Sooooooo, Tempest’s offspring seems well in the running for a mission reward, huh?
Or - if there’s to be a dark turn - where in the alphabet was that blanked-out spot again? Somewhere around ‘T?’
No, I think this is happening after Oblivaeon, isn't it? Not gonna feel that safe beforehand!
