Episode three up http://theletterspage.libsyn.com/episode-3-the-wraith
@Phantom5613
The goal is between 10am and 1pm Central every Tue!
Shouldn't that be Episode two?
They're counting the 'interludes' as episodes, which they technically are. They're just shorter.
Thanks! I'll be sure to listen once I'm home from work. ![]()
The page lists episode two but the address bar says three. Doesn't matter much overall.
We are "naming" it "Episode 2", but the podcast hosting service disagrees :)
Aw man! The Christopher and Adam song is just so damned pleasant! Like, I want to gush about their creativity, and how well they understand the history of comics and how these characters are so much more than the sum of their parts, but that song just puts me to sleep in a good way!
I'm thrilled that you like the song. I'll pass your words along to my brother. He's a professional musician, and since Adam and I have been friends for over 20 years, he grew up knowing Adam as well. So, when I told him we were doing a podcast and what it was about, he threw that song together in an afternoon in his studio. Without me even asking for it. What a dork.
I love that kid.
Something I've been curious about is the referance to the different story-arcs and more specifically the books. Obviously there's the quotes at the bottom of each of the cards and it got me thinking if there is/was an actual comic book series in the universe, or if it's based on a plot-line that happens through the expansions of the games and the characters. and if there's a comic series, how would one get their hands on it?!
There is currently one issue of The Freedom Four, available on the GtG website. There will be a comic coming with OblivAeon. Other than that, the comics only exist as quotes and art on cards. That said, Christopher and Adam have fully planned out the comics history. You could pick any card in the game with attributed flavortext, and they could tell you what happened in that comic, which heroes and villains were in it, and where it fits in the publishing history of Sentinels Comics. Most of what we know of the storyline has been pieced together from card art and quotes, character bios on the website and video game, Words of God from Christopher and Adam, and the ARC that lead up to OblivAeon (which featured a few comic covers and summaries) The details have been pretty well collated by the wiki that Lynkfox manages, and of course we're now getting new info from the Letters Page.
All in all, Christopher and Adam have done an incredible job of telling a cohesive story in a non-linear format. The only comparable example I know of is Magic: the Gathering, and it took them two decades to figure out how to do it right.
"ARG", not "ARC".
AHH!
LOOK WHO IT IS!
AHH is only 3 letters.
I think you meant AHHHHHHHH!!!
Thats 12 characters, i think you meant
AHHHHHH!!!
Quick! Let’s all divvy up responsibility for working through the clues in this list!
I’ll take “arrant cog.”
Hey, folks!
I am going to be out of town next Friday, so Adam and I are going to be recording the April 4th episode on this coming Monday. We didn't realize it in time, so we didn't announce it (episodes are still releasing on the same times and days), but as a result, we only have a (high) single digit number of questions on that episode's subject: NightMist! SO! Faithful forumites! Now is the time to use our question form and ask all the NightMist questions you have! We'll be recording Monday morning, so please get your questions in before then.
We can totally do the episode with just the questions we already have, but I'd hate to not give you fine folks a chance to have your voices heard. Also, I think the epidoes with lots of good questions are just better.
Thanks, heroes!
Done. Hopefully my questions make the cut.
I actually provided a question!
Really enjoying the reveals and backstory – the podcast has been a blast!

>tfw whatever Nightmist questions you might have had suddenly vanish
I don't do well under pressure. :(
