The Void

So, what exactly is the void? It seems to have cropped up a lot through the game. The infinite void seemingly destroyed the Scholar somehow after he became a gateway between it and our world. AA is a virtuoso of the void. Now this void has a nexus point that for whatever reason screws the crap out of the local climate of the island it's on and Akash'thyria seems to draw power from it in her promo, at some vague great cost to herself (Which is somewhat ironic considering that the void keeps throwing virtuosos at her to stop her from destroying humanity).

I don't think its much of a stretch to say that these various voids are a singular entity of some sort, and whatever the void is, it seems to have some kind of will, but other than that I'm stumped. Any theories?

No idea.

Void is a really unusual thing to associate with powers of nature and harmony, since it evokes emptiness and silence. I'd say maybe it's associated with outer space, but we already have "cosmic" for things like that. I remember in Homestuck the void aspect was the one thing that even the omniscient could not see through, allowing characters to keep secrets even from god-tier beings... What if drawing power from the void is a way to tap into the most primal thing imaginable, the most ancient of ancient forces, the thing that existed before even existance did. If so, it would be a sort of Alpha to OblivAeon's Omega, fighting the ultimate end with the ultimate beginning?

The Sentinels have now als become the Void Guard after taking up the Oblivion Shards.

Honestly? Currently stumped. But there is so much story content being thrown at us right now I'm sure we're missing things. At the very least the Nexus environment deck should hold some clues.
