Thematic action sequences

I just had a really interesting game that I'd like to share. Well, the game was a disaster, but the opening round really felt like something special. I was up against Omnitron in advanced mode. Omni opened with two high-damage components and a pair of S-84 Automatons. Normally, I would have had to choose between getting slammed hard by one source of damage in order to take out the other. However, in this case a bit of fancy teamwork allowed me to avoid damage from both.

To start, GI Bunker set off an External Combustion, knocking the drones down to two health each. Then, using his base power against the first drone was enough to let Legacy take it out with Motivational Charge (partially healing Bunker back up in the process). Dark Watch Mr. Fixer followed up with his own attack, expending the Motivational Charge in order to eliminate the second drone. Finally, Wraith went after Omni with a Throat Jab, which gave me a damage-free round to find a solution for the components.

Things like that are part of what make me really enjoy Sentinels. There's something really thematic about the idea of Bunker throwing the enemy into disarray while Wraith provides a distraction and Legacy and Fixer charge into the fight.

I'd be interested in reading other similar stories if anyone can remember one they'd like to share.

It's not quite the same thing, but I did make a thread about thematic victories.

We could probably combine your thread into mine called something like "Thematic Awesomeness".

Ah, so you did. Merging them would probably be better, for the sake of forum tidiness.
