THIS JUST IN: Anubis Claims New Nemesis! ...and other news....

My wife and I played this game something like 3 times this weekend and had a great time! There were some highlights:

Game 1: Mr. Fixer, Sky Scraper, Expatriette, and Fanatic vs Ambuscade in Megalopolis!

Ambuscade came out swinging, and we got smashed pretty hard from the beginning. Then things started going our way. The heroes pounded on Ambuscade like he owed them money, until finally, the cops came out and shot the villain dead!

Game 2: Guise and some other heroes (does it matter?) vs Citizen Dawn in the Tomb of Anubis!

The game was a ton of fun! Dawn got a bad series of draws, so it felt easier than it should have been, but the highlight was pulling the Tome of Anubis card twice during the game, summoning the deadly Anubis twice, who was twice unceremoniously and nearly immediately Retconned by your friendly neighborhood Guise.

Game 3: Captain Cosmic, Tempest, Parse, and Chrono-Ranger vs Voss in Omnitron IV!

This was the biggest romp I've ever had against Voss. With Parse tossing Forced Deployment under Voss' deck at every opportunity, and the Flagships hanging out toward the bottom of Voss' deck, there wasn't much the Grand Warlord could do. We kept him flipped the whole game, and we had Cleansing Downpour on Tempest... who also had a Dynamic Siphon... which let him cast a power when the Siphon takes damage... which happened anytime a card damaged the target with the lowest HP... which was twice per round with flipped Voss and his one minion. So Tempest was healing the entire party for 2HP at least once a round, and then anytime he wanted to activate the Ally he got from Captain Cosmic, too. Unfortunately Voss died before we could heal the entire party back to max HP.

We had a ton of fun and really enjoyed the narratives we got from the games we played. The cops taking out a fleeing Ambuscade was great, but Guise Retconning Anubis every time he popped up was hilarious. "I AM THE ALL POWERFUL ANUBIS! QUAKE IN FEAR AT MY 20HP!... What are you doing? What do you mean, 'this never happened'?!"

Thanks to >G for such a wonderful game. :)

:+1:

Glad to see you are finding all those neat little interactions that make this game so great
