Train Puns (WAS "Ziploc Bags")

Why is it that most of the ziploc bags used by >G when packaging Sentinels cards (eg the dividers in an expansion box, or the mini-expansions) have a small round hole through both sides of the bag?  I'm reluctant to use these bags to store my HP and status tokens, for fear that the latter especially will poke out through the hole, work it wider, and eventually cause the bag to spill its contents.

It makes it easier to get all the air out.

I use bags for all my tokens, including my homemade start/end of turn ones which have quite sharp corners due to them having been cut with a scalpel rather than die cut (I am planning to clip the corners like wargamers do but haven't got to it yet).

And all my bags have holes for the reason Ronway explained. In fact, most of my games are bagged up like this and even with very cheap bags I haven't had a problem. If a hole does ever widen you'll notice it way before it's big enough for a token to fall out.

It makes it easier to get all the air out.

Genius. That never occurred to me.

You're obviously just not obsessed enough with little zip lock bags. ;)

I dread to think how many of them are residing in my house happily earning their keep by segregating my cards and tokens. Probably thousands.

That's a great idea! I always assumed it would help with trapped moisture.

It'd be more likely to let moisture IN, I think...

If there's moisture in your box, you're in trouble anyway.

Had a copy of Rail Baron get ruined by moisture in the box.

I had a copy get ruined by being Rail Baron. Train games bore me to tears.

Seconded.  Not my… bag.

(See what I did there?!)

This thread's gone off the rails already. Let's get back on track!

I thought that's what PlatinumWarlock was doing?

>G has been using those bags for the demo sets taken to cons, and they've never had an issue with the holes weakening the bag's structure. Honestly, I think the bags are of strong-enough plastic that it isn't an issue.

Obviously he hasn't been trained well enough.

I'll stop now, shall I?

Yeah, you are definitely crossing the line, you've derailed this thread too long.  It's time to start conducting yourself properly, and get this whole conversation back on track.

I think you've reached the end of the line

You guys are giving me seriously mixed signals....

Don't worry, we'll run out of steam eventually.

I choo choo choose not to participate in these kind of forum shenanegans.
