Villain Guantlet

So some people had discussed doing a Villain gauntlet sort of thing,  just for fun, where you keep all your stuff and current HP and just play one villain after the next after the next.     Well I dont know if there's an official way to do this, but what I did was after picking team:

1.  Choose Villain and environment, must be different from what you've played before, if possible..   (if you pick Insula Primalis for your first game, you cant choose Insula Primalis again until you've done all the environments).

2.   All Ongoing and Equipment cards remain in play, even "temporary" ongoings (Bloody Knucles, End of Days, Heroic Interception and the like).

3.  No healing in between rounds.

4.   All cards in hand and trash reshuffled into Hero deck.   Heroes draw new hands of 4 cards each.

5.  all on advanced mode, btw.

I sorta expected this to be hard, but actually it was pretty easy.   My team had a lot of healing and utility,   AA, Fixer, Tempest, Young Legacy (in that order).     Started out with Ambuscade on Rook City.  Wanted an easier villain that doesnt kill stuff so I could build things up, and decided I may as well knock the hardest environment out of the picture.   Near Flawless Victory here, with only Legacy down a few HP, and a good amount of stuff on the table.  By the time I got through killing Baron Blade on Mars I had a copy of just about everything down in every heroes deck, except for a few of AAs cards and Gene-bound shackles, which I never really in the first few games.

From there I beat up Plague Rat in the Toumb of Anubis, Spite (before he even touched a drug!) on Insula Primalis, AkashBhuta on Megalopolis, The Chairman/Operative on Atlantis,  Voss on the Industrial complex, and the Ennead on the Realm of Discord.   I haven't actually lost yet, and currently AA is my lowest HP hero at 20.  But I'm out of time, so I set things aside for now.   I think the only real challenging villain left is Matriarch, and I don't anticipate that many problems.   I'm pretty sure I can beat everyone.   With ultimate setups you can just cleave through villain hp.   Kinda fun,  dunno if it's something I'd want to do too often tho.

I'll see if I get the all-kill.  Anyone else tried the Villain Gauntlet?

Nice.  I see that you haven't played the noted stuff-killers Omnitron and Citizen Dawn.  Saving them for last, I take it?  Are you just going to recycle the environment decks now that you're done with them all?

We did a very similar type of game. We had one person put a piece of paper with a number underneath each environment deck randomly. Then the villains were each assigned a number by a different person at random. The heroes “picked” which environment to fight in, and whatever villain had the same number was the one we fought. It was a lot of fun and always a surprise. But we continued till we were out of villains. We also found that keeping all equipment was way too easy, but compromised on keeping one piece of equipment/ongoing out or regaining 5hp. It worked out well. Although we were able to kill citizen dawn in one shot thanks to bunker charging up for three villains.

There would have been some howling at that table if her first card killed all your equipment and ongoings. Bye bye omnicannon.
