Any particular reason, other than him being miffed at her for destroying all his equipment? I can just imagine him flipping out, pushed beyond the edge by the countless misappropriations of his modules, and freezing both Unity and Chokepoint in one attack. :)
I included AZ because his story is about being dependent on technology to survive, and his gradual acceptance if that fact.
As a Nemesis, Chokepoint resonates with all of their stories- by integrating with tech, she steadily becomes less human (which parallels AZ's story), she is a dark reflection of unity (she destroys tech to increase herself, whereas Unity brings tech to life). She is a reflection of Bunker as well- a weapon who decided to become more instead of following orders. Bunker has always used tech in service of others, and while he uses the suit to do so, he never becomes it.
Wow... Wrath really did shake things up.
Deadline and Progeny gave birth to this new Chokepoint and to the Broken City mess...
And I also love how those new tidbits of background gives us a lot of food for thought... Between the Celestial tribunal, Renegade and the new Chokepoint, there are clearly a lot of speculation to be had (especially in regards to the CR-Con-Golem Unity relations, but also concerning the Hosts). Love it!
I wonder if Chokepoint will be a Reverse Unity that destroys hero equipment and turns them into evil bots. Her nemesis is equipment :P
Is it Friday yet?
No?
Aww, but I want to give >G my money now!
That begs the question: is Chokepoint a Vengeance-style villian or a regular one?
I tend to think normal, given that mini-expansions can be bought independently of the pre-order, plus I don't think a large team villain card would fit in the packaging that GtG used for the Wrath mini-expansions.
In pretty sure she’s normal. Mini-expansions normally are.
It'd make more sense to be a normal style villain. Choke is a mininemesis in a V5 deck, and there's no time travel involved with Choke, and so it wouldn't make much sense for both to be in the same game.
Yup, she's a non-Vengeance-style-villain.
I dunno, sounds like she's got plenty of Vengeance to be getting on with...
Choke point will become Golem Unity.
Calling it now!

ok so lets speculate on the order that we think everything will be out in. (mainly because I am bored of doing homework and/or preparing to teach).
My rough prediction for the order of stuff:
1. the tactics maps, I expect those to be out by the end of may at the latest mainly because they were kickstarter stuff, and I wouldnt be surprised to find out in a couple weeks they are already at the warehouse. plus shouldnt need much play testing if at all.
2. sentinel tactics broken city and for profit. With Sentinel tactics being sold at gen con last year and on paper I see greater than games needing to push the game a bit more to get exposure, I expect this to be out right before gen con, so end of July beginning of August at Gen Con with it being shipped shortly after.
3. that leaves Villians to be around Christmas time. This is based off the fact the last couple expansions came out right around then.
This is all my pure speculation though based off what is out there and how previous stuff has sold. The only issue is I know the play testers havent started testing yet and we dont know if there will be any natural disasters or strikes this year.
that link led no where
Here's a proper link: https://twitter.com/GtGAdam/status/572529263791874048
who is the other guy in adam's picture
It looks like PW Cosmic. It's the same costume, he's just in a green light.
You might want to fire your contact there, we're totally testing!
lol ok well last time i read something all the playtesters were saying they havent started play testing stuff yet so wasnt sure. Still I think my schudule of events is probalby roughly accurate. But who knows, Christopher and team may have other plans.
