Villians cards being played at the End of the Villians turn(do they go off)

Been getting my butt kicked by Citizen Dawn over my last few games and I am wondering if we are playing something wrong.

When a card lets the villian play a card at the end of there turn, If that card has a end of Villian turn effect, does it go off. IE If the card I put out is a citizen does its end of villian effect happen the turn its played(even though it was played during the end phase)

This question has been asked a number of times, maybe it’s worthy of an FAQ entry. When a villain card is played, it becomes the last card played. Usually, when a villain card is played at the end of the villain turn, it’s because some card in the villain lineup caused a card to play as it’s end of turn action. The new card played would be played after the card that caused a card to be played, and if it’s not a one shot, it is added to the end of the list. While continuing down the list, the card just added would then have it’s end of turn effect played.

In short, yest, cards played at the end of the villain turn will have it’s end of turn effects as well.

Thanks, I looked but couldn’t find this question. Means a flipped Dawn with several ongoing effects in play can end up playing several new villian cards in a turn and the all go off. Man that chick it tough to beat

She sure is!

This is why Absolute Zero’s card (Subzero atmosphere, I think?) that causes end of turn effects to happen at the beginning of a turn can be so powerful.

No, because in this case, the end of turn action would occur at the beginning of the turn, and then when the card is played, it’s currently the beginning of the turn, and that new card’s end of turn action will still occur at the beginning of the turn as it’s still the beginning of the turn. Rather, Subzero Atmosphere is powerful because cards played during the play phase of the villains turn doesn’t get a chance to have its effects played as end of turn effects occur prior to the play phase.

Weird – you start with ‘no’ but then go on to make the same point I thought I was making.

I think he just meant that it isn’t powerful for the particular instance described in the OP. That one had minions being flipped via an End of Turn effect. AZ’s effect is still powerful, but only if the cards are played after the Start of Turn.
