OK--I have no idea why line breaks suddenly don't work in Filtered HTML mode.
Mint.
Same experience and method that scifantasy used. These heroes don't break a sweat in this one, and Argent Adept got to pull off some MEGA-turns for me that were almost hard to keep track of!
Scholar 25HP, Wraith 21HP, Tachyon a full 25HP, and Argent Adept 23HP.
Mint but closer than I could have made it really. For some reason I can't quite explain now I focused Greazer down first, then Bugbear. He does drop really fast when he can't deal damage for multiple turns in a row. Operative and Friction managed to do some decent hurt before I could bring them down though. Was never really in danger but I could have ended it much higher than the single digits everyone was at at the end if I really tried.
Scholar tanked, Wraith pew-pew'ed, Tachyon controlled until she unleashed on both Bugbear and Friction in the same turn, AA HP tanked (yay inspiring supertonic accompany x2 per turn) and took care of troublesome ongoings or Entry Points.
Also I really like Ballroom Blitz so the description was quite entertaining :)
Yes, Easy Mint by focusing down Bug Bear before he could do much of anything. By the time the second Hypersonic Assault wore off I had Scholar with Flesh to Iron and a Alchemical Redirection in hand and Wraith with Smoke Bombs up. 90% of damage for the remainder of the game was harmlessly absorbed by Scholar while the heroes took the rest of the villains apart.
Greezer got a whole load of cards into play by the end thanks to Mayor Overbrook staying in play for a while, but most didn’t matter much. Friction went down second (Tachyon Blitzed her down from about 11 health thanks to Nemises bonus), and the others followed soon after with Wraith doing 8 single target damage on her own turns and 5 on Argent Adept’s. Need to practice with him more I think as I didn’t really do much more than set him up with a Harmony card and an instrument to play both powers from it...
That was a fun and easy mint. Really have to hand it to John for the description. :D
Easy Mint here too. Also I loved the description.
Minty goodness.
Smacked down Bugbear posthaste, including 8 points from a Get Out of My Way (1 fom plink, 7 frm healing with MFtE).
Greezer went down next, leaving Friction at 5 (no Devices) and the Operative at 18, with Wraith having 9 equpiment in play and a barrage in hand.
Threw the barrage & stabbed Friction down to 4. I wait for Friction to eat herself, and she instead plays Argentum.
So Tachyon Punched Friction for 2, and then played SuckerPunch for the win.
Yeah, this was a cruise control Mint that was over on Argent Adept's third turn. We basically took every possible chance to do damage, which ended up with Argent Adept quickly getting out Inventive Prep / Lyra / Supertonic, passing all the powers to Wraith, who had Throwing Knives / Micro Targeting. Scholar double-skipped round 1 and played Looking Up off-turn thanks to PWAA, getting out Mortal Form to Energy, then following it up with tons of healing/damage. Tachyon played both her Hypersonic Assaults, one of which was off-turn to let Greazer hit himself fixing his hair, and plinked Friction every round.
Final HP totals: 26 / 13 / 24 / 18. Scholar would have been at full but for Operative's incap ability... and Wraith hit herself at least once with Combat Stance. Whoops.
Yeah, it's nice to have an easy breather after a while. Beat down Bugbear and badly hurt Greazer while everyone was locked down, and then Blitz'd Friction to death right afterward. Finished off Greazer with his own pompadour, and then it was four of us ganging up on the Operative, which didn't last long.
I actually used Subdominant/Inventive Prep/Lyra.
ALL THE CARD PLAYS!
Mint. Not as high an hp finish as most others but I’m apparently not that good at getting Argent Adept to do big shenanigans.
Mint.
I went the route of “Adept plays Verdant Sonata and lets Tachyon Hypersonic Assault everyone for three straight turns.”
Friction went down first, followed quickly by Bugbear. I was overly worried about Frictions extra card plays. The Pompadoured One went down next, and The Operative took 30 or so damage in the last round between know when to turn loose, Scholars power, and a completely unnecessary Inventory Barrage.
The gentlemen finished on 20, the ladies on 15.
Two easy Mints in a row. Anyone else dreading next week?
Straightforward Mint, everyone in the teens even though leaving Bugbear for last was almost certainly a mistake. Argent Adept did work, the Wraith did damage, and Hypersonic Assault is a very good card, but the one who's really broken (as has now been demonstrated to my satisfaction, and then some) is the Scholar.
Easy Mint, though I made a bunch of stupid mistakes. I did a Vernal Sonata and put my favorite one-shots back on my decks -- forgetting that Mission Control was coming up next, and they were all prompty discarded. Got all set up with everyones favorite ongoings, forgetting to take care of Friction's Stolen Gear first, which promptly destroyed them all. Was about to do a huge Grace Under Fire to Friction and finish her off, forgetting that she had Speedy Sidestep in play so I had to take out Operative instead -- Scholar hates incapped Operative but I hate incapped Greazer even more.
Hey, I accidentally hit "Skip" on Vernal Sonata while trying to keep the trask moving through the healing. Dont' feel too bad.
Mint. Comfortable, although some of the hps were pretty low by the end. One of those was my fault, though, since Scholar Knew When to Turn Loose.
Well that was harder than I expected. I still minted with everyone in the teens, but got a bit worried when my plan to take out Bugbear first somehow turned into everyone but Bugbear down with two Feral Brawns and Entry Point out.
OW.
Mint as well. I took out Friction first because I hate letting villains have extra card plays and because I don't play against bugbear enough to realize how bad he gets, expecially with 2 Entry Points out in play. Vernal Sonata and Don't Dismiss Anything kept cycling one another to keep an endless supply of Hypersonic Assaults in place at the end which made everything fairly trivial from that point on.
