Got mint in Multiplayer too. I'm not sure which was more confusing the fact that everyone else was able to choose the normal version of the heroes or the Tachyon player who decided to Lightspeed Barrage Young Legacy, that I was playing, and then Tachyon to incap her.
I got a Mint cover (solo) too, by using three advesive foam grenades, experimenting on Wraith, hitting Blade with a stun bolt nearly every turn and at some point using Young Legacy's Take Down. Blade was only on 3 cards when he flipped, and by that time Wraith already had nearly one of every equipment card out, so destroying three cards wasn't really a big deal. Blade's only worthwhile shot was actually the Devious Disruption he eventually pulled out of his non-existant hat, but he was on his last 7 health, so I just destroyed all cards away apart from the Legacy Ring and Motivational Charge, and Young Legacy just floored him right on the next turn (thanks, Nemesis Bonus)!
The environment played... 3 cards total: Paparazzi On The Scene, Close Quarters Combat and Impending Casualty. That's not a lot.
The choice for dealing damage shows targets which are non hero ones. To choose a hero target you have to at least specifically click to show all possible targets and then select a hero.
Reading through this, are the deck orders the same for everyone? If so what stops someone writing up what is coming each round and then posting it so everyone gets mint?
If you click the weekly one shot button on the main menu after you have won then you can see the cover is now "bagged" and it says what kind of issue you won (you can win one in Single Player and one in Multiplayer and you can flip the comic, like it was a character card to see the two)
Just the fact that your covers wont smell of mint, just the stench of sweaty desperation.
That and the fact that not every week will have ordered decks.
Nothing. That's one of the reasons why initially in development we didn't have fixed decks. We decided it might be okay though, but we'll see how it goes.
Well, that depends on what “Mint” means to you. Will it represent your ability to think through and beat each scenario, or your ability to read and follow instructions?
I can see why you would want Fixed Decks. This particular One Shot (if using Randomised Decks) could prove incredibly luck-based issues. 6 Targets go under Bomber Blade in the first turn for one player and none for another player? You're gonna see some resentment from the completionists and collectors out there.
It does have the little problem that people can log on, see the deck order and use someone else's strategy to get Mint without posing a challenge, but seeing as you highlighted in your article that this was to "build the community" then I don't see that as TOO big an issue. If too many people are using online posts to get Mint Comics that means that your plan worked well. The community is working together to figure this stuff out.
Personally, this wasn't really a challenge with the cards that came up, but the Theme was fantastic. I'd prefer that these One Shots remain less difficult than these games have the potential to be as it will help players who are new to the game be able to collect the Mint Issues without HAVING to look up a guide and will be less likely to make the Community not risk losing their Mint because they didn't look it up! If they chose to play a certain character aggressively instead of defensively that one hypothetical turn where it mattered a lot.
PS. I love how this One Shot was really a showcase of how Bunker is covering Megalopolis paparazzi with Adhesive Foam! lol. Move along citizens, nothing to see here.
