wererat's sotm adventure!

Hello community. So my friend and I pulled an all nighter yesterday completing the story challenges and were a bit dissapointed by it (we thought the story challenges would give us a “story” to play through) so now we’ve made our own story to try out.

Battle for Rook City
-Pick 4 available heroes and pick 1 backup hero for each of the original four chosen (8 heroes in total).
-The heroes will fight the rook city villains in order, one after the other. Health, equipments and ongoings carry over.
-After defeating a villain, each surviving hero adds half their max hp to their current hp before fighting the next villain
-The first two villains will fight with the rook city environment deck and the last two will fight with the sewage plant environment deck.
-When a hero becomes incapacitated they are replaced with their backup hero (signifying a new hero coming in at the last second to stop the killing blow)

Battle for Rook City #1

The Chairman has made his move and is looking to increase his domain. It is up to the super heroes of the world to stop him before things spiral out of control. The first heroes to respond are Expatriotte, Haka, Visionary and Tempest. The others have been delayed for some reason or another. With Expatriotte’s expertise of the city, she leads the makeshift team to the Chairman’s location; a tall skyscraper. They will have to fight floor by floor, battling thugs, underbosses and the infamous operative to get to the Chairman. How will our heroes fare in this fight?! Find out next time in #2 of this exciting new series! (Don’t worry! Not a monthly thing)

Part of our intention is for you to use the game to make your own stories, so we really encourage things like this! The Story Challenges are named as such because they have to do with character backgrounds, creating the situations for great stories to occur, raising tension in come areas, and creating awesome moments in others. If you’re looking for full scenarios, I’d definitely recommend Spiff’s scenario thread, found here. He’s done a lot of great work on that.

I’m just curious about one thing. I see that health, equipment, and ongoings carry over…what do you do about your hand? Do you discard your hand, shuffle your trash into your deck and start each game fresh with a new hand, or does your hand, deck, and trash stay “as is” as well?

I ask mainly because this affects different characters different ways. Tachyon (in particular) loses most of her setup when her trash is shuffled in, and Haka can end the game with a crazy 20-30 card hand, that he would have to discard.
