When will we see a new SotM expansion??? It's getting old

Ok... while Vengence was fun... it got old quick... and the villian team has gone unplayed for the past 2 months.
When can we expect to see another SotM expansion?

I am not looking for a firm date.. but a ballpark would be nice Q4 2014...Q2 2015... Fall 2015...?

I have some $$$ earmarked for gaming I want to spend or reserve. During the summer I host gaming nights nearly every weekend... and either I want to have something new, or at least reserved for an anticipated purchase of a product in the works...I would be more than happy to plan for the purchase/kickstarter/pre-order...

Any data will be welcome.
.. and wanted to give SotM the first look before I start poking around Fanatsy Flight Games, Asmodee, or Days of Wonder...

Thanks

Wrath of the Cosmos is still a bit away. Playtesting, as of writing this, has not started for it as we are still working through Tactics related stuff (for which I really hope you got in on the Kickstarter, as that game is going to be a genre buster for sure).

With Tactics looking at a December delivery, I'd be surprised to see another SotM expansion ship to consumers in 2014. However, I certainly do not speak on their behalf, and playtesting SotM stuff nowadays (especially a non-mega expansion) goes very quickly. I am totally up for being surprised though.

Not really into miniature games ... unless using them as part of an RPG.

Based on my player base I don't think GSF or Tactics are a games that would get much play at my table.

By the way I should clarify...

I love SotM... and so do my players... its just we have played the HELL out of it... and are finding it is starting to be the second game of the night...

last week... Lords of Waterdeep was played twice with the Skullport expasnion rather than jumping to SotM for the next game... not a good sign.

Every flower needs its rain.  Give SotM a break for a bit. You'll be back to it later, I'm sure.

My groups haven’t been back to Arkham Horror in 3 years
My groups haven’t been back to Descent Journeys in the Dark for almost 4
My groups haven’t been back to Shadows Over Camelot in over 5

… once we walk away… we tend to stay away for a long time… if not forever…

In all fairness, Sentinels is a better game  :stuck_out_tongue:  (This coming from a massive AH fan)

Funny how people say SotM gets old. I haven't found that at all and I play all the time, 8 games a week on average. Try randomising rather than choosing your heroes/villains/environments, that keeps things a little fresher.

Or playing on advanced, playing campaigns, playing fan-made characters… :sunglasses:

I'm a big fan of setting personal goals as a way of keeping things fresh. Win a game as Fanatic with full health. Win a game with the character I do worst with. Personally do a % of damage to a villain. That sort of thing.

My goal whenever I play is to end the game with the fewest hit points or the first to be incapped!

I'm keeping track of the heroes I play with, and trying to pick ones I go for less frequently. I do gravitate a little towards my favourites and avoid the ones I like less, so trying to even that out gives me a more varied experience.

Our group has an ongoing goal: Defeat all villains in the Final Wasteland, where if it is possible for the Villain to be defeated by the environment, have the final blow be done by the environment, with Unforgiving Wasteland in play

A later rule was added, where The Naturalist cannot be in play for this to count.

Random heroes.  Advanced.  That's how to have fun.

Nope, that's how to have a challenge, that's not everyone's definition of fun (though I do love me some advanced).

Everyone starts at 10 HP. With your hands behind your back.
