Whose Tim Cosing?

Me, too, but i have

Brown grey green yellow ORANGE blue yellow grey yellow

The villains rulebook page numbers translate your colors and mine, respectively, into the sequences

679152171

and

679142171

…but neither of those codes work outright in the URL.

Trying another thing, the first three colors’ names spell “BGG,” but neither boardgamegeek ID 152171 nor 142171 seem relevant.

For the Sound File bit, we actually never finished naming the sound clips. We were missing 2 or 3 and got lucky when Squirl guessed TimeVTime as the correct answer. Maybe we need to finish that? Idk what else there would be to that clue to solve.

I just checked resistor color codes as well and neither 185436484 nor 185426484 work outright in the URL.

Are the fonts of the INTERVENE letters related to actual SotM cards?

I don’t recognize them.

Edit: the fonts, I mean

What about the colours of the card backs?

Those card images all have distinctive features, so I think that they have to be a clue. Can we start a list of which cards the images are from?

Thats already been done. Go back in the thread and find it.

Ah, you're right. It's in the ARG wiki.

Did anyone figure this out?

yes, it became playlists after several decodes, which lead us back to the tim youtube page who had a playlist

Ah ha, thanks!

Got clued in and caught up on this whole thing last night, well done everyone, that was a LOT of impressive work.  Having just done an online puzzle hunt with friends late last year---I highly P&A magazine and its recent Puzzle Boat 3, which included 100+ puzzles, the answers for which players had to group into 9 metas, the answers to which formed one glorious meta-meta), this was really awesome to see.

By the way, one thing missing from the wiki entry (I think) is Foote's analysis to get the FtAdamant address.  It looks like it had something to do with strange characters in the code on the Absolute Zero therapy page?  Which I guess must have been the significance of the editor's note that indicated "Character introduced in #128"---maybe size 128 was the size needed to see FtAdamant?  (See: http://greaterthangames.com/comment/125792#comment-125792)

I guess the fonts in INTERVENE are still a nagging thread.  Strange they wouldn't have been a part of some solution at the time, let alone by now---maybe they were a hint towards something you all managed to get done without the hint, though.  Anyway, again, fantastic thread!

I was almost thinking that the font names would spell out something, but identifying fonts from a picture and 1 character is really hard.

If you go to the source code of the AbZero page and scroll down a bit, you will find a bunch of weird characters all in green. Copy it all into a notepad and change the size of it until it spells out Ft. Adamant. It has nothing to do with the actual picture.

The 2nd 'n' in Intervene looks like La Capitan's font to me. The color of that 'n' is the same color used for the page number in the VotM rulebook for the page that La Capitan's bio is on.

I don't recognize any of the other fonts as being from any of the other VotM villains. Since the bios in the VotM rulebook are only on some pages, and none of those pages is, for instance, colored yellow, the color of the Intervene letters does not seem to be a secondary clue to a VotM villain.

I wonder, if all of those fonts can be matched to the name of a Villain, if the color of each letter could be used to get a page number in the VotM rulebook, and that number would be an index into the name of the Villain. So, the eighth letter, a gray 'n' that is in La Capitan's font, since that color matches page 7 in the rulebook, would mean we'd use the 7th letter in La Capitan: 't'

I always assumed this would be easy for someone  sitting with thier cards in front of them.  I believe they are all on the character cards. So it would just be the character names.

Just looking through all of the character cards, none of the fonts match up, so I have no idea on that one. Maybe the positioning/height of the letters is important somehow.

The INTERVENE Fonts look more like regular typefaces than SotM ones, should we work with that for a time?
