Also, I think that the last line is one of those old puzzle tricks meaning to append "it" to the end.

My guess is also that "Take the fruits of your labor and simply append it." does not refer to the previous puzzle, but this one on its own.

I think the Flay refers to Major Flay. So "my first" would be "J"

Back to bethegate, "causation" and "spacetime" have many of the same letters. I don't know if that means anything, but maybe something about the letters they have in common (or don't), or a transform from one to the other?

So I looked up Freedom Five Annual #30 and came out with 4 cards from the database (I think it excludes VotM still).

Cause and Effect - Setback

Thorathian Monolith - Sky-Scaper

I find it interesting Cause and Effect is in there due to Causation on the bar code. The other ones are trickier because they have a range of issues. I'm not sure if this is on the right track though...

I was just looking at that. The crossword in the background has a lot of words that are commonly associated with Legacy. Could be relevant later?

Actually, I searched the database and none of the other issues listed are on there. So the only other place they could be is in Villains of the Multiverse. Only Freedom Five #30 showed up out of all those issues listed.
