Whose Tim Cosing?

So : by combining the title of the last clue's page and the images names on the page, we get "first page/ back cover".

I don't have Villains yet (I am a sad european) but according to the pdf soemone made, the 4 dot dice is on the first page, the five dt one on the back cover.

So : 4dots / 5 dots.

Then, the images may mean : "put the grid of pages over the grid of covers" - we have a grille.

The whole problem is finding how to organize our pages and covers...

Not that this is particularly groundbreaking, but the coloring of the images, plus their names, leads me to believe that they reference the first page, and the back of the rulebook. I think that's the entire clue from the images; just to point us to the dice. So it seems that they either wanted the difference to be noticed(as it already was), or the numbers 4 and 5 are both relevant.

EDIT: that would also give meaning to the page title: First PageBack Cover

To my knowledge, there were 9 numberes before this last one:

Yeah, it seems like your first page/back cover comparison is right. If someone has the link to the rulebook PDF handy, could they repost it?  It's buried pretty far back in the thread by now, and I closed the tab after it seemed we were done with it.

New tweet... "Hands Talk" Sign language of some sort?

716453289 doesn't go anywhere, at least now—I think it was a barcode that got manipulated (into octal) to get a working url.  The first number that led to page art was 982354617.  And 918273645 doesn't go to page art, it just goes to the wall of Morse—it may be that we're supposed to include that, but if so we'd have to include some others like the new 444455555, so we'd be over 9 no matter what.

There is an ASL letter on every cover!  Getting them now, ASL is one of my things.

Edit: It actually spells out the word SENTINELS in order.  That's not a working url for us right now, though, so it must be part of a cipher we have to run, something like that?  I know some ciphers do the substitution based on a word, so maybe our substitution is SENTILABCDFG…?

Any change this new Scion is Mrs. Parson?

This!

Sign language on the covers!

Back page/cover of the Villains rulebook:

Sergeant Steel,
K.N.Y.F.E.,
Miss Information,
Tachyon,
Citizens Hammer & Anvil,
Visionary,
La Capitán,
Chrono-Ranger,
Bugbear,
Nightmist,
Madame Mittermeier's Fantastical Festival of Conundrums & Curiosities.

I reposted it to the “Summaries” topic yesterday for exactly this reason!

Thanks to whoever noted Ra making an L on the End of Days cover---as soon as ASL got brought up, it all clicked thanks to him.

I checked, and I don't immediately see reliable signs in all of the non-cover art---there are some I could infer, but I don't think they all do, so I imagine just the covers.  So now it's just finding out what SENTINELS means here for the 9x9 grid.  I have to run for several hours, so good luck all!

Edit: In case anyone is double-checking my ASL---S is fist with thumb in front (Dark Vis/Skyscraper), E is fist with thumb below (Wraith/Ermine), N is fist with thumb between middle/ring (Harpy/Chokepoint), T is like N but thumb between pointer/middle (Unity), I is fist with pinky up (Argent), L is L (Ra)

Ah, so you did.  Good thinking—thanks!

Check out Unity on the Omnitron-U cover! That’s a “T!”

Visionary on genocidal - “s”

Agent Adept on Time VTime - “i”

Chokepoint on FtAdamant - “N”

Yeah, I thought Argent's pinky-up was suspicious, good find!

Gah, the Scion's Aid page even says "The signs were decoded," so it was pointing us to the ASL now that everything was done.  Clever/sneaky puzzlers.

Trajector---it's SENTINELS

Yeah, seems to be. How to connect to the 4/5, though?

I was so excited, I thought I had a great idea.  Back cover reminded me we never got anything out of the Lorem Ipsum from the back cover of the original comic, but if nothing was to come of it, why not just leave the old letters? I started using the numbers revealed so far and got about as 6 letters in before I realized I had only nonsense. I don't think the next message starts with "PSOTCS."

Oh well.
