Why are Sectors Sectors?

I'm curious about why Sectors are Sectors and not something else.  The only one we've seen (Oothagos Expanse) has a planet and moon on the panel art, but its name seems to suggest the panel represents the sector as a whole, not any particular planet or moon.  However, you go to the Expanse to pick up Station cards, not Sector cards.  Will the Sector cards have some art or flavor text describing the station or moon within the Sector where we're picking up the Station cards?

Great question! I asked Christopher the same thing when GSF came out. The official answer is that the word was specifically chosen to cover all the situations.

EDIT: Deleted what I previously wrote. Sorry if you missed it.

Does that mean that even though the only Sector we've seen so far seems to be just a section of space in which we have to imagine there are stations at which to get Station cards, others will be moons, planets, bases, space stations, etc.?  Or will they always just be nebulous spots in space and it's up to us to imagine the details of where we are landing our ships?

What I mean is, will the Sectors always be the Hoth Sector, or will some be the planet Hoth, or even Echo Base itself?

EDIT: I have the strange feeling I have already ssaid too much. Dang it. The only things I will add is that the word was specifically chosen to cover all the situations.

Ha, I didn't mean to get you into trouble.  But I haven't signed any NDA, so I'm going to keep digging and asking questions until someone tells me to stop or makes me a playtester. ;)

... or until the game actually comes out, I guess.
