Wouldn't it be great...

If SotM became so big that it got it’s own animated series?

Now dreaming of being a voice actor …

I know I personally would love that, being a huge animation and VO fan myself. Should that happen, I’m going to push really hard to be put in charge of the VO casting and direction.

Oooh! An animated series would be awesome!

Now casting it in my head… Nathan Fillion as Legacy feels like a given. Michael Dorn as Grand Warlod Voss would be cool. I really have no clue how I think Visionary should sound though…

David Hayter as Absolute Zero.

Jennifer Haaaale!

I started typing this as a sentence, but it will make a much better list. If you want specific reasoning for any of them, let me know. This is what I would do, given creative and financial freedom:
The Heroes
Legacy - Townsend Coleman
Wraith - Mae Whitman
Absolute Zero - Brian Drummond
Bunker - David Hayter
Tachyon - Tress MacNeille
Haka - Phil LaMarr
Fanatic - Elizabeth Pena
Tempest - Doug Jones
Ra (Human) - Nathan Fillion
Ra (God) - Ron Perlman
Visionary - Jennifer Hale

The Villains
Baron Blade - Jason Isaacs
Citizen Dawn - Lisa Edelstein
Grand Warlord Voss - Keith David
Omnitron - Kevin Spacey

Kevin Spacey would be perfect. If anyone has any doubts about that, go watch Moon.

Not to toot my own horn, but all of that casting is perfect. That’s a REALLY high-budget cast though, so it’s kind of a pipe dream.

Mae Whitman as Wraith? I want all of that…

I say let the fund-raising begin and in like 20 years we can make this happen.

Well, by then the cast would have to change. We just need a wealthy investor to get super excited about that cast NOW.

Agreed!!! Does anyone happen to know Bruce Wayne, Lex Luthor, or some other billionaire that would be willing to have this tale told?

Quick, send a comp copy of the game to Stan Lee!

Whoa whoa whoa… I forgot something. If Felicia Day isn’t on that cast list, then you’ve already lost my interest. You all even met her! You gave her a copy of the game! She’s a contact already! She’s not a suggestion, she’s a REQUIREMENT.

Well, of course, she’s the new Legacy. I forgot I missed one.

Wow, this is getting way far into the future and the first expansion hasn’t even came out. Maybe we should stick to the awesome villians/heroes still to come?

Although an animated series would be wicked awesome, but wouldn’t there have to be more than one for each hero not in the Freedom Five? Or would be be more along the lines of few episodes focusing on a character doing their thing and after that conflict is resolved it would move onto someone else and keep rotating like that? Oh great, now I am doing trying to guess the future as well.

An animated series seems to be a bit of a stretch right now, seeing how small the game is right now. But you know what isn’t all that far-fetched? Getting someone who can do flash to make a…

SotM 2D flash fighting game. Oh yeah. I want that.

And now for something else a bit far-fetched: after that fighting game comes out, we write to NetherRealm Studios and make a proposition: Mortal Kombat vs. Sentinels of the Multiverse. Whatever DC can do, we can do better.

I don’t know that I want to see some ninja tearing Legacy’s heart out. I mean, for one, that’s canonically impossible as he’s got impenetrable skin.

And for another, the characters pretty much get nerfed to the point of being legitimate competition. Young Legacy has laserbeam eyes and could lift a train without breaking a sweat. I think the suspension of disbelief is just too much for me to enjoy that.

I’m too desensitized from hours upon hours of Mortal Kombat to really care whose heart gets ripped out. Plus, I’d love to see the Sentinels do some fatalities of their own.

And most fighting games are like that though. You’ve got people who have incredible abilities that could destroy the other player in one hit IRL, but the other character being just fine after receiving the attack that just snapped their spine or both their eyes being blinded. That’s what makes a fighting game work. The only fighting game that really tried to keep an element of realism (a spear to the face being an instant kill, etc.) was the Deadliest Warrior game, and that just sucked.
