That one's helpful. 10 targets destroyed, including all 6 vampires. Absolution, Aegis, Smite the Transgressor, Embolden, Sacrosanct Martyr, Undaunted, Holy Nova, Sanctifying Strike, Zealous Offense, Chastise, Divine Focus, End of Days, Wrathful Retribution, and Brutal Censure were played. Of those, Aegis, Embolden, Sacrosanct Martyr, Sanctifying Strike, Chastise, End of Days, Wrathful Retribution, and Smite are for sure not required based on other reports. Absolution, Undaunted, Zealous Offense, Divine Focus, Holy Nova and Brutal Censure are still possible requirements.
The official unlock condition for Xtreme Prime Wardens Fanatic has been discovered by the community:
Win a game in the Court of Blood with regular Fanatic on the team. Fanatic must destroy each unique Vampire at least once. Fanatic must not be dealt any infernal damage.
Oh. So I didn't get it because I fought Gloomweaver and the Cursed Acolyte saw the field. Gotcha.
Good job! Now back to XPW Tempest
Got her. Ambuscade vs. RC Wraith, Legacy, Tempest, Fanatic, Haka in the Court of Blood.
Wraith milled the environment deck to hunt for vampires and played 2 Mega Computers to keep environment damage under control. Tempest/Wraith used environment-killing one shots to remove annoyances like Unhallowed Halls and Infecting an heir. Legacy made sure Fanatic had the damage boosts to slaughter vampires, and Haka played cleanup on Ambuscades deck.
Quick advice for folks looking to unlock this easily: Mass Levitation.
Even with Blood Countess Bathory's nemesis bonus against Fanatic, she can't deal more than 3 damage in a single hit. Just keep Mass Levitation up, fight a villain like Ambuscade who doesn't deal infernal damage, and use Rook City Wraith to get vampires in play, and you'll have zero difficulty getting this unlock. :D
That's not quite true if Unhallowed Halls comes out
Mega Computers for the win.
Or get three Megacomputers out. That way you don't have to use Visionary's power phase for it each time.
Or Naturalist.
I just want to say that getting to nuke people with Sacrosanct Martyr is stupid amounts of fun. And using her against Plague Rat is just plain silliness.
I took down Bugbear with one hit of Holy Nova
RC Wraith was the MVP in my unlock. Mega Computers, Grappling Hook to get rid of Unhallowed Halls, and base power to bring on the Vampires. TLT gave everyone cards. Grandpa Legacy, and XPW Argent Adept gave RC Wraith powers if no Vampires were out, else Fanatic. Fanatic swept up the Vampires.
Got her. Legacy, RC Wraith, Dark Visionary, XPWAA and Fanatic. Legacy for the power boost, RC Wraith for the megacomputers and getting vampires out, DV on villain control and Twist the Ether duties, XPWAA to get Fanatic extra card plays and powers, vs. Ambuscade.
With all the damage boosts she had, Fanatic all but killed Ambuscade on her own after wrecking the last vampire.
Yep, I feel like we got lucky with this one. We were on the right track with killing all the vampires, but priceyprovinces coming up with the "no infernal damage" thing was inspired. I got it using Final Dive on one of the vampires, so destroying them with damage at all, let alone radiant damage, was definitely completely wrong.
Rook City Wraith is definitely hugely helpful for all the ways described above. Bringing along at least one of Visionary (for Mass Levitation) and/or Haka (for Enduring Intercession) and/or The Sentinels (for Human Shield) to prevent accidental infernal damage from going to Fanatic is strongly advised. Greatest Legacy and/or any Argent Adept are handy to give Fanatic more opportunities to kill vampires.
Antelope Naturalist with Environmental Allies is a pretty quick way to guarantee the environment isn't messing with you, and then The Naturalist can spend the rest of the game doing what he does best.
I feel bad for Ambuscade. Based on a lot of these threads, he's usually the go-to person to smack around to unlock variants.
This wouldn't be a good one for this unlock but I'm surprised the unlocks which aren't villain specific don't see more people using Deadline.
For me at least, it's a trade between making sure I have enough ongoing destruction and "Well, I'll just deal a bunch of damage round 1 and not have to think much about the villain again"
This quote will go down in history…
Why?
