Your Dream Team

The Naturalist was a natural fit in this particular team composition. His ability to take on any role that maybe be lacking at any given moment is huge when the cards just arn't falling in your favor. For an endurance based team, consistency and longevity are cornerstones to success, and Naturalist aligns with those goals very well.

Nice. One might even say that he could be…the fittest.

Tempest, Sentinels, almost like you want lots of healing on this team.

With Tempest and Scholar you are a Nightmist away from the game's best Lockdown combo.  With the healing from other places I'd switch out Naturalist for Nightmist, since you are going for max power, shutting down decks entirely is pretty good.

The way most of the villains go, entirely avoiding damage is all but impossible. So if you're going to fight several in a row, you're definitely going to need substantial healing, and if you're counting on one character to do so, healing's going to top out at 2 HP a round team-wide (with the exception of, potentially, the Argent Adept), which doesn't keep up with a villain that's, doing H-2 damage or more a round.

The best healing combo is probably Tempest + Captain Cosmic.  Cleansing Rain + Dynamic Syphon means that every time you throw a little bit of extra damage at the Syphon everybody heals 2.  And since the Syphon heals as well, you can keep this up for a very, very long time unless you get unlucky.

Argent Adept can do similarly -- two Rhapsody of Vigors and Drake's Pipes out and he can do that for five targets. And with additional set-up, he can do a bunch of other stuff with it at the same time.

So... Argent Adept, Captain Cosmic, Tempest, Scholar, Sentinels anyone? You might lose, but it won't be for a very long time.

I usually play with 4 heros and this is my team of choice.

The sentinals= only 8 cards in there deck that isnt a one-shot.

Super scientific tachyon= spam power on the sentinals.

Prime warden fanatic= lets tachyon use here power more.

Americas greatest legacy= heals and lets tachyon use here power even more.

So basically this team is set up to make the sentinals pump out the one shots for damage and once the sentinals get the card "sentinal tactics" out, when they deal damage they will get use a power that turn so they end up getting powers on almost everyone elses turn for more damage or healing because fanatic hurts herself to let tachyon use here power.  they make for a nasty combo that has the potental to own almost every villan.

also if im in a 5 person game a good person to make even better, throw in Argent adept because he can do alot of BS and eventually (with the right cards) let tachyon use here power one more time. if everything works out the sentinals will get to play 8 one-shots and use 4 extra powers plus what they do on there own turn in a 5 man game.

We tried the above 5-hero Sentinels Experiment team against Advanced Chairman, and its was insanely good. We had one scare with a Hired Gun dealing 9 damage to all hero targets, but generally we had the game completely under control. Adept never got Supertonic out, but was able to enable a lot of card plays. We never even got Sentinel Tactics in play, and it was still nuts! Once we got Lead from the Front + Next Evolution in play too it was game over for The Chairman.

Next time we're going to try that team against Iron Legacy =)

Thats some great synergy. Nice post!

On Videogame, my superteam is all about spending five hours with Argent Adept per turn.

SS Tachyon for Card Play
Old Legacy for Power Use
Argent Adept for Power Use/Card Play/Healing
+2.

G.I. Bunker and/or Mr. Fixer if I need damage and to ignore Damage Reduction.
Tempest if I need more healing.

But generally my +2 is Dark Visionary for deck-stacking for SS Tachyon and Tempest for healing/AoE control combo.

My usual strategy is:
SS Tachyon to Argent Adept (he's replete with music and instruments-- good chances! Not quite Sentinels but good) until he has his guitar with Power Use harmony and Card Play rhythm out.
Old Legacy up SS Tachyon until Adept's flow is cooking, and then Old Legacy AA into having more guitar solos.
SS Tachyon on Tachyon or Tempest or Bunker depending on need at this point to get cards out, but mostly just let AA roll through enemies. And if she's in, DV has spent this whole time baldly stacking the bottom-of-decks for AA and then for Tachyon/Tempest/Bunker.

It's my go-to for any achievement, with minimal variance to allow in some other heroes.

I want to try the in-real-life hack of a Sentinels focused game, though!

The Argent Adept can also set up the bottom of his own deck fairly easily for Tachyon via Arcane Cadence.

Yep! I do this all the time! I like to Arcane Cadence into Arcane Cadence a pair of cards and then have him give SS Tachyon a power usage that then plays two of his cards, for a four card play right there.

Have only been playing in the video game but my ‘dream team’ so far:

Dark Visionary - scout what cards are coming up next, and deck manipulation in general.

Argent Adept - because he can usually provide useful support in most situations.

Greatest Legacy - for the extra heal and extra power use, usually used on the Adept for bonus healing + power use.

Tempest - nuker(ish) + cleansing downpour when extra healing is needed.

Fifth hero generally Ra for extra damage output (team lacking damage) and bonus sun god flesh. Sometimes Wraith but can be needy in hp upkeep. Nightmist another popular choice for extra deck shutdown ability.

As you can imagine the abundance of support makes for very slow burn games. But can generally handle almost any situation thrown at it.

Weaknesses include lack of ability in overcoming damage reduction and cards like Devastating Aurora will totally, well, devastate the setups. Scouting somewhat counters this, but vulnerable to card effects that allow multiple villain card plays.

With the realise of Shattered Timelines for the Video Game. I've been pitting my dream team against random advanced villains in random environments.  So far my team has held up pretty well with only 1 loss in about 15 games.  My team is (in order): Dark Visonary, Team Leader Tachyon, Grandpa Legacy, Tempest, and Scholar.  My favorite combo... Reclaim From the Deep followed by Don't Dismiss anything used to play the best card in every trash except Tempest who restocks Reclaim from the Deep!)

Legacy, Team Leader Tachyon, Dark Visionary, Omniton-X, Tempest. My favorites!

Welcome to the forums!

Omni-X, Unity, Greatest Legacy, Argent Adept

Or!

Team Leader Tachyon, Scholar, Nightmist, Wraith

Legacy, Super Scientific Tachyon, Omnitron-X, Unity, Tim Minchin

Why would you want an off brand version of Tempest?
