Challenge Accepted 2: A long dangerous useless trip

I'd be happy to do this turn for Miss Information.

I appologize for my sudden leave of absence these past weeks have had me struggling with loads of work, family problems and simple mental exertion. I'm really sorry for the delay but every time I tried to get a time block spared for this I got nagged in lack of implication in my other life spheres. Dpt if you want to make Miss Info's turn it would be appreciated I'm very sorry that I overstepped on the availability I believed I had.

No problem, it happens to all of us.

I'm travelling today, so it will be a little bit before I can do this update. If somebody else wants to do it, that's great, otherwise I can probably do it tomorrow (Sunday).

Looking back through things for Miss Information’s turn, I realised we never got a decision: which of The Sentinels is Isolated Hero affecting? I agree it's like Infection, and would go next to one of them.

Also, may Tempest destroy Localized Hurricane for "Threat" to the President's start-of-turn effect, even though we're not going to destroy the total number of cards required? I would guess not, unfortunately.

It doesn't matter because Isolated Hero prevents cards from that hero's deck (which includes all of the other Sentinel character cards) from affecting other heros and their decks. We can say Mainstay, for the sake of choosing someone.

We need a decision on Misplaced Resources and two damage decisions: grysqrl, which of The Sentinels takes that hit from Miss Information? And would it be OK if Visionary took the hit from the Diplomatic Envoy, as Tempest still has Localized Hurricane out at that point?

Presumably with Misplaced Resources we want an Equipment again.

Strategy-wise, I guess we need to work on those Ongoings… I’ll take out two of them, and leave any deck control this turn to someone else.

Yeah Viz will take that hit and I can also nuke 1 Ongoing

I thought we decided to destroy Suspicious Malfunction, not What Doesn't Kill You.

Also, shouldn't there have been two Missing Resources in the trash at the beginning of the turn?  Certainly it's been played twice.

Mainstay can take the hit.

Diversionary Tactics shuffles the villain trash into her deck.

Ah, okay.  Missed that.

Still my point about the destroying the Suspicious Malfunction stands.  I don't think that we want to deal each Sentinel 4 damage.

Also, should I reveal for Missing Resources?  I think I'm still the best shot for avoiding a One-Shot

I'm good with you revealing a card Arcanist.

Thanks for the correction on Suspicious Malfunction. I had misremembered that discussion. It should be updated now, and when we resolve Missing Resources, I'll do Tempest's turn.

Omnitron reveals... Reactive Plating Subroutine (*phew*).  Everyone discard any Ongoing or Limited cards they might have in their hands.

Omnitron is at 15. Since Suspicious Malfunction didn’t destroy my Ablative Coating it absorbs 2 melee damage from the diplomat.

And I’m officially tired of wrestling with this forum. Don’t expect me to post anymore until the fix the security certificate.

Thanks for the corrections. I think we’re up to date now, and I’ll post my turn.

Tempest

HP: 10

Hand: Ball Lightning, Into the Stratosphere

In play:

Trash: Chain Lightning x2, Elemental Subwave Inducer, Localized Hurricane x2, Shielding Winds

[hr]
Play a card: Ball Lightning. Deal 4 lightning damage to “Diplomatic” Envoy (10). Destroy both copies of What Doesn’t Kill You…

Use a power: Squal. Deal 1 projectile damage to “Diplomatic” Envoy (9) and “Cat” Stuck in a Tree (9). (Note the shifting effect of Misplaced Memo here.)

Draw a card: Vicious Cyclone

[hr]
HP: 10

Hand: Into the Stratosphere, Vicious Cyclone

In play:

Trash: Chain Lightning x2, Elemental Subwave Inducer, Localized Hurricane x2, Shielding Winds, Ball Lightning

Omnitron's processors began to overheat as they tried to calculate the effects of the information and misinformation that the Freedom Five's dastardly secretary had been providing.  Omnitron knew it was time for a reboot.

Omnitron-X

HP: 15

Hand: Reset

In play: Ablative Coating

Trash: {Stuff}

--------------------------------

Start of Turn: ---

Play a card: Reset.  Draw Reactive Plating Subroutine, Play Reactive Plating Subroutine

Use a power: Timeshift O-X.  Reveal and Play a Gaussian Coil Blaster.

Draw a card: Ablative Coating

End of Turn: ---

----------------------------------

HP: 15

Hand: Ablative Coating

In play: Ablative Coating, Reactive Plating Subroutine, Gaussian Coil Blaster

Trash: Reset

Effects: 2 DR for Melee, Projectile, and Toxic Damage (Ablative Coating)

2 reaction damage if hit by Melee, Projectile, or Toxic damage (Reactive Plating Subroutine)

             Start of Turn, 1 lightning damage to <=3 targets (Gaussian Coil Blaster) {Component}

If we need to toss anything, I'll happily sacrifice and and all of my stuff, including the card in my hand.  Especially as I have two copies of Ablative Coating.  Although some of the melee damage is going to be directed at me if we don't kill the diversions, so it might be nice to keep that one around.

But I'm definately willing to pitch the Ablative Coating in my hand to deal with the Explosion in the Lab.

Whoops.  Forgot the turn order.  But I doubt Visionary's turn will effect me, so I'll leave it as is.

(Sorry for the double post, the forum is not letting my edit my posts.)

Not a big deal, but isn't Visionary before Omnitron-X?
