Disappointment in the new store

There is a new store and I notice it is missing a few issues.

1) Stuff GTG makes is missing. I noticed that the branches and claw expansion of spirit island and the two promo spirits they had listed before the store change are both missing. I am assuming this is because they are out of stock but it would be nice to have a place holder that says out of stock in the store for these so we know these are still items that GTG makes. I wanted to order the promo spirits as a christmas present and was getting on to see if they were back in stock yet.

2) need release dates on stuff not out yet. I will point out all of the Oblivaeon stuff for an example. There is no date yet that says this is in store and actually says will ship in 1-3 days. Unless a hole in time and space opened up and us backers didn't hear about this, I am assuming this is false and needs to be updated asap to not mislead customers. I am assuming this is an easy fix because they already have done this with legends of sleepy hollow.

3) I didnt check this yet but how well does the new store talk to the old account. Wasnt sure if my preorder for Prime war and all that still show up

4) Finally I would add a quick comment on the spirit island 5 and 6 player pack. Its great that this exists, but its a bummer I have to buy the canoical map to play with 5-6 players. Has there been any attempt to look into creating a E and F map for the island as a seperate expansion. Depending on costs I would be willing to buy this over the playmat.

If you guys notice anything else in the store that is missing or needs improved please list it here so GTG can take notes on what needs to be fixed.

You can find the SotM stuff but it’s not intuitive.

Thats not really an issue with the store.  At least with what’s available that is the only way to do a 5-6 player game.  Considering the success of it I’m sure it’s being discussed but I have no idea when they are going to start up an expansion.

Eric has said on the BGG forums that a second expansion is in development.  No word on what's in it yet, but considering how high (or at least vocal) the demand has been for 5-6 player expansion (and since Spirit Island was always intended to support that many, hence the 6 board canonical map), the chances are pretty high that the expansion will indeed support extra players.

powerhound, never said I couldn't find the SoTM products, just that the stuff that hasn't been released yet does not have a date or something to state this.

number 4 I will agree is not a problem with store but is something I was frustrated to see at the moment I saw it so it got added.

One thing I wish the store supported was checkout via Paypal/any other popular online payment options. Like someone said elsewhere, providing direct credit card information on most commercial websites leaves me just a little uneasy.

Also, over time, it would nice to be able to categorize items by family/core game. So, as Spirit Island/Sentinels RPG/Tactics/Lazer Ryderz start getting new expansions in the store, being able to sort by "What are all the expansions for <x>" would be really nice to have.

Not disappointed, as per the title of the thread. Just features that'd be helpful in the long run. :)

I am wondering if the store isn't completely stocked yet but they wanted it up for the big shopping day.

Oh, no! There isn't a way to buy individual decks!!!  :open_mouth:

I guess I'm going to have to wait even longer for my 5 Argent Adepts game…

I’ve wanted to do this for forever, but there’s only four dif powers, right? Vanilla, PW, 6S/DC, and XPW. Also, which one would be the mandatory Frost&Flame person, or are we just Xtreming the villain to death?

Why would you want more than four anyway? Virtuoso barbershop quartet, yo.

Or we could have all 5 bunkers up against 5 Fright Trains.

Wait, but then, who do we target first?

THIS.  Shipping to Canada is expensive (the RPG will cost as much as the game itself to ship), and so I was going to throw in a extra Legacy deck to make it worthwhile, only that option now seems to be gone!

That, and I was also thinking of adding on a set of the Absolute Zero cufflinks, but they seem to have disappeared to…

Each of them gets one instrument in play from the start. They all draw from a single, common deck.

Cufflinks we’re never here – you have to get them from Foam Brain Games.

Thanks for the feedback! We're working on adding / fixing most of those things :)

They had been listed in the GtG store for at least 2 years, in the "Accessories" section.  They were definietly still listed there Sep when the pre-order for the RPG Starter kit came out, because I looked.

Yay!

Does this include an E and F tile for spirit island?

My apologies, then – I never would have imagined they were there (as none of the other Foam Brain items were, that I know of) and I never noticed them.

The Foam Brain stuff is now sold at Cardboard Clothing... as soon as they get their checkout working, which is taking quite a while. (Which is making me sad because I really want their Argent Adept and Unity t-shirts...)

@morph147

Yes, but that's a longer-term project unrelated to the web store :)

If I choose to show more items on a page I get redirected to the home page for the store.  Also, it seems weird not to be able to find the main Sentinels of the Multiverse products without doing a search.   I’d hope to see categories of games like it had before.
