It was a good episode, I'm hoping they get to do some of his time in the Rook City Renegades stories on the next interlude.
Been listening this entire time, but just finished, and I was scared someone was about to hit me when Christopher and Adam both yelled “SHUT UP!” People around me wondered why I flinched so hard at seemingly nothing. And yeah, Guise and Trevor need to do an episode instead of C&A. That sounds hilarious. Give Trevor one too many beers so he spills the secrets of everything he’s cut, and Guise comments. I will pay money.
Yay, another one of my questions got answered! That makes 3!
I also wrote a letter directly to Guise, which didn't get read. Maybe they didn't want him to answer the questions?
Did anyone else find themselves craving bananas while listening to this episode? I was listening to it on my drive home and almost made a detour in order to swing by the grocery store (but couldn't because I needed to get some stuff done).
Also, poor Guise... C&A were pretty mean to him, and there were a couple of times I just wanted to give the poor guy a hug and/or Mr Chomps plushie so that he could feel better!
At least they gave him some sympathy when he was sad about the Scholar ceasing to exist.
You know, I can't help but feel that the apartment incident gets swept under the rug as Guise stories progress. If he was a less goofy character that would be something that gets brought up as a defining moment for him, but after "The Bannana Game" I don't know if it ever comes up again.
Maybe I just wish Guise were a more serious character instread of ridiculous...
You’ve come to the wrong episode then if you expect Guise to be a serious character.
I'm honestly just a little surprised Guise doesn't pipe up more during the episode.
Me too!
Gotta say, I also appreciate this episode for making me feel sorry for Green Grosser. D: Like, dude didn't deserve what happened to him and now I want to reform him.
Damn. I don't have time to listen to the episode. I just have one question: do they end up answering any questions by me? Or maybe by revo Corp?
I don’t recall RevoCorp or your name coming up.
I was pleasantly surprised to have both of my questions answered… And under yet another name. ![]()
Getting a little meta, I have a feeling this was due to the way in which they did the episode. I have a feeling Guise recorded a limited selection of things before Christopher & Adam recorded their part, and Trevor had to fit those bits into the structure of what Christopher & Adam did. Just my perception, though.
Even if he was present, Christopher and Adam have a pretty well-practiced flow now, and it's hard to insert yourself into something like that without breaking it up undesirably.
If you pay attention, it's pretty apparent Guise is recording in a different space than them. His voice has a slightly different quality.
Which did not help me one bit with differentiating him from Christopher. D: They sound too much alike!
I completely agree with your interpretation. Didn't figure it out at first, but part way through I was thinking that it was too choppy to be an actual person in the room with them.
You guys have such amazing attention to detail. Without you all the ARG would still be ongoing today.
Yeah, this, I had thought it was obvious to everyone. >_>; Guise's voice has a different mic volume, is "cleaner", has less background noise.
And yeah, I did think the VA does sound weirdly a lot like Christopher now that you remind me of it. Not sure why I never noticed that in the game itself before.
I agree. He did sound way too much like Christopher. I'm slowly watching the podcast. I've only made it up to the point in which guise learns the ultimate lesson of thanksgiving: eat ALL the food! I'm still laughing at... I think it was Christopher's green grosser voice. And then they called him the shmeen shmoser. And for some reason I find calling the Beatles the shmeatles hilarious.
