Episode #39 - Oh Captain, My Captain!

Oops.  I will correct turn since i had it heal SS earlier in the turn.

Dawn is at 76 due to Luminous Leadership healing her 1 at the start of the turn.

Guise

HP:  20

Hand:  Selling Out, Gritty Reboot, Best Card Ever!, Uh, Yeah, I'm That Guy

In Play: Total Beefcake

Trash: Say Cheese!

Start of Turn: Total Beefcake goes away. Much sadness.

Play a Card:  Best Card Ever!, Draw Retcon and Look What I Found! WOOO! I do 2 melee damage to Citizen Dawn [74], Guise regains 1 HP [21] Play Retcon, and destroy Return With The Dawn. Awesome! I'm a great hero. I draw X-TREEEEEEEME! from Retcon.

Use a Power:  Tough Choices....which to choose? I'll play Gritty Reboot. Guise accidentally slaps himself 1 melee damage [20], draws Guise The Barbarian.

Draw a Card:  Lemme See That...

End of Turn: ---------------------------

HP:  20

Hand:  Uh, Yeah, I'm That Guy!, Selling Out, Lemme See That..., X-TREEEEEME!, Look What I Found!, Guise The Barbarian

In Play: Gritty Reboot

Trash:  Say Cheese!, Retcon, Best Card Ever!, Total Beefcake

Effects:  Whenever Guise is dealt damage, you may draw a card.

Comments:

Hit me if you can, I wanna draw more cards!

Note: You want to skip the option regarding the Vitality Conduit - if it is destroyed it does *not* do a heal before it goes.  (Discussion about this elsewhere in the forum.)

Captain Cosmic

HP:  20

Hand:  Autonomous Blade, Energy Bracers, Sustained Influence, Cosmic Crest

In Play: Cosmic Weapon (next to Tempest), Vitality Conduit (next to Sky Scraper)

Trash:  Wounding Buffer, Cosmic Weapon, Harsh Offense, Autonomous Blade, Potent Disruption

Effects:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Start of Turn:

Play a Card:  Sustained Influence

Use a Power:  Fabrication - Reveal Harsh Offense - put into play  - reveal Conservation of Enery, Wonding Buffer and Energy Bracers, deal 4 Energy damage to Dawn (70)

Draw a Card:  Potent Disruption

End of Turn:

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

HP:  20

Hand:  Autonomous Blade, Energy Bracers, Potent Disruption, Cosmic Crest

In Play: Cosmic Weapon (next to Tempest), Vitality Conduit (next to Sk Scraper, Sustained Influence

Trash:  Wounding Buffex2r, Cosmic Weapon, Harsh Offensex2, Autonomous Blade, Potent Disruption, Conservation of Energy, Energy Bracers

Effects:

Just for clarification if damage destroys the conduit the healing effect cannot trigger because the conduit will leave play.

Side note: I'm trying to build myself up for a nova turn when we need to nuke all 6 of the citizens Dawn will have in play. Looking back on my turn it may not have been a good thing to destroy Return With the Dawn, but she's got some of her nastier minions in the discard and I don't want to see them again. And we certainly don't need Hammer bringing Anvil out (or was it the other way 'round? I can never remember). Also, I want to be the lowest or tied for lowest HP target in case we see Citizen Autumn for more than one turn, my ongoings go away at the start of my turn anyway.

Will give a philosopher stone strike of two I can use it on you if you wish. btw the marsquake could have destroyed the return, given our limited ongoing destruction might have been a good idea. On the top of my head I'm not sure if autumn targets character cards or hero targets, if it's hero targets constructs do not possess ongoings to destroy. going to work so can't double check.

"twixt the green sea and the azured vault set roaring war: to the dread rattling thunder have I given fire."

TEMPEST

HP:  22

Hand:  Electrical Storm, Otherworldly Resilience, Shielding Winds

In Play:

Trash:  Chain Lightning, Otherwordly Resilience

-------------------------

Start of Turn:

Play a Card:  Electrical Storm

Use a Power:  Cosmic Weapon, Deal Citizen Dawn 3 Energy damage [67]

Draw a Card:  Reclaim from the Deep.

End of Turn:

-------------------------

HP:  22

Hand:  Otherworldly Resilience, Reclaim from the Deep, Shielding Winds

In Play:  Electrical Storm

Trash:  Chain Lightning, Otherwordly Resilience

Effects:  Start of turn: all non-hero targets 1 lightning damage.

Barring Sky-Scraper or Scholar destroying it Marsquake will demand a sacrifical on-going from the heroes at the beginning of the environment turn.

It can have Sustained Influence

Sky-Scraper, the Proportionist!

HP:  21

Hand:  Catch a Ride; Compulsion Canister; Colossal Left Hook, Linking Incursion

In Play: Thorathian Monolith; (HUGE character card)

Trash:  Explosive Reveal

-------------------------

Start of Turn:  Thorathian Monolith expires.

Play a Card:  Colossal Left Hook--Sky-Scraper deals Citizen Dawn net 3 melee damage [64].  I discard Catch a Ride to play Linking Incursion, which reveals Micro-Assembler (in front of Tempest) and Compulsion Canister (in front of Citizen Dawn, who deals herself 2 psychic damage [62]).  I also become *tiny*!

Use a Power:  Sneaking--I play Compulsion Canister (the one from my hand) on Citizen Dawn, who deals herself 2 psychic damage [60].  I then take back the first Compulsion Canister to my hand.

Draw a Card:  Cortex Hyperstimulator

End of Turn:

-------------------------

HP:  21

Hand:  Compulsion Canister, Cortex Hyperstimulator

In Play:  *tiny* Character Card; Micro-Assembler (Tempest), Compulsion Canister (Citizen Dawn)

Trash:  Explosive Reveal; Thorathian Monolith; Catch a Ride; Colossal Left Hook; Linking Incursion

Effects:

You forgot to include the +1 damage dealt by citizens in your compulsion cannisters meaning Dawn is at 60 HP instead of 62

If Guise really feels like he would make better use of the 2 melee damage than Dawn you can put it on him. I would rather Pile Dawn a quick kill would be favorable.

The Scholar

HP:  25

Hand: Flesh to Iron, Transmutive Recovery, Truth Seeker, Alchemical Redirection

In Play:

Trash:  Know When to turn Loose, Proverbs and Axioms

-------------------------

Start of Turn:

Play a Card:  Truth Seeker

Use a Power:  Truth Seeker: The Scholar Deals 2 Melee Damage to Citizen Dawn [58]

The Scholar Draws Mortal Form to Energy

Draw a Card:  Mortal Form to Energy

End of Turn:

-------------------------

HP:  25

Hand:  Flesh to Iron, Transmutive Recovery, Alchemical Redirection, Mortal Form to Energy x2

In Play:  Truth Seeker

Trash:  Know When to turn Loose, Proverbs and Axioms

Effects:

No, keep piling damage on Dawn while we can. The main reason I dropped Gritty Reboot was for Marsquake fodder, but if I get card draws out of it that's great too.

SS is a Citizen? Really?

If you want Gritty Reboot to be fodder I wouldn't mind keep Sustained Influence out, especially with a Potent Disruption in hand

Absolutely, keep it in play. Gritty Reboot dies at the start of my turn anyway, it's not a big loss.

No, compulsion canister, the card Scrapes played, causes the target of the card to deal itself and another target damage. So since its on dawn +1.

Back to lurking.

Will post environment and next villain turn tomorrow when I get home from work.

I currently have Citizen Dawn at 56 HP.

Environment - Time Cataclysm

In Play: Marsquake!

Start: Marsquake! destroys Luminous Leadership, Gritty Reboot, and itself.

The ground stops shaking and in the lull all that can be heard is the ticking of clocks that are not there.

PlayMain Computer Room [9]

End: Main Computer Room plays the top card of the villain deck:

Return With the Dawn  (no immediate effect)

Effects:

- At the end of the environment turn, play the top card of the villain deck (Main Computer Room)

- At the start of the environment turn, each player may draw a card (Main Computer Room)

Oh Captain, My Captain - ROUND 3 - We have tamed the sand and use lightning to make it think
