I tried having one of everything except Exploit Vulnerability out, and it didn't work. Never saw Recompile. Had no duplicates of any ongoings out. (Environment damage finished off Progeny with Parse at 1 HP.)
Oh geez, Parse at 1hp? That’s TERRIBLE.
Not impossible. But obnoxious.
Ok, did it. TLT, Parse, Hunted Naturalist, Sky-Scraper, Argent Adept in Magmaria.
There was some trouble at the end with making sure I didn’t accidentally kill Progeny before having Parse at 1hp, but I barely managed it. He got down to 1 at the same time she did.
I did exact same thing, and (I think) I had all her ongoings out. I still got no unlock.
Did you play Recompile? That’s important. I also played Quick Calculation and Syntactic Analysis, but no other one-shots.
I think so? Ill try again.
Unlocked it upon victory.
- Environment: Magmeria
- Team: TL Tachyon, Parse, Hunted Naturalist, Sky-Scraper, PW Argent Adept
- Progeny did damage to himself using Sky-Scraper's "Cortex Hyperstimulator".
- I destroyed one of his cards using Buffer Overflow
- I had at least ONE of EVERY ongoing in play.
- I played every one-shot at least once.
- Progeny and Parse were at 1.
I'll TRY and remember what else I did. I did beat Miss Information with Freedom Five, and VotM with Parse before.
Steam is also narrowing this down to "Defeat Progeny with Parse at 1 HP, some number of Ongoings either in play or having been in play, and Recompile must have been played."
The million dollar question is which Ongoings, and do they need to be in play or just formerly in play.
The community has discovered the official unlock condition for Fugue State Parse:
Defeat Progeny with regular Parse on the team. At the end of the game, Parse must have at least 10 ongoing cards in play, and must be at exactly 1 HP.
woohoo!
Dang, that was fast
Darn it I just figured it out, but I was too slow. Well, back to Kismet…
Ok then. Very well.
So Recompile was just a red herring.
On to Kismet, attempt number one plus two plus two plus one.
Even if you're right that's one plus two plus one plus one, not one plus one plus two plus one.
Wishing I could express my love of the last two comments more than just this remark.
::blush::
Just a strategy note: Dark Visionary’s “Twist the Ether” + Court of Blood’s “Unhallowed Halls” make this fight kind of a cakewalk. Just stay on top of manipulating Progeny’s deck, and you can win this at your leisure.
It's almost unfair how much Court of Blood can shut down Progeny. Even without TTE, Unhallowed Halls makes Scion of Frost pointless and keeps him from dealing his end-of-turn damage on his flipside. You can render him all but helpless that way!
