I'm Callin' You Out!

Actually you know what? If those traps had been there, I probably would have lost, as Blade had 13 cards in his trash by the time he flipped. I could easily have run out of time before flipping him.

Go ahead and count it as a win, and leave the trap scenario for a bonus challenge open to anyone.  :-)

That sounds like license to issue your own challenge, Andy!

Yeah, I'd been having some trouble with that scenario, so I knew it was going to suck, but hey, it was definitely a challenge.

Good job.

Is there a running list somewhere of who's been challenged and who hasn't? Maybe someone can put up a sheet on google?

Mwah ha ha ha ha ha ha!

@agfncaap Normally, this fight would have been easy. Any four heroes could take down Baron Blade, even on Advanced, w/out batting an eye, right? But there's a catch. If any given hero uses the same power more than two times, that power is gone. It simply can't be used again. Fight him in the Realm of Discord.

I dunno, we've already got one sheet that everyone's forgotten about. It would make it easier to know things like what variants people have access to, though…

Theoretically everyone has access to every variant, as you can just proxy them from the wiki.

Not if you only have the digital game, though...

In the digital game you can always hit the unlock button for any of the available variants.

The deed is done.  My heroes of choice were Chrono Ranger, Tachyon, Tempest, and K.N.Y.F.E. That was the first time in a while that Blade's front side had me scared.  However, thanks to "Synaptic Interuption" sending a 14 point "Devious Disruption" back into Blade' s face and "Positive Energy Field" making it rather impractical for me to take out a "Blade Battalion," I managed to flip him with 14 cards in his discard pile.  By this point, Chrono Ranger had 4 bounties out with "Hunter and Hunted" and made short work of Blade's Powered Armor (though Tempest's "Chain Lighting" dealt the final blow).  Oh, and since I didn't have that achievement yet, I went ahead and did you one better: I beat him using no powers at all.

So, new challenge time! @PeterCHayward, I'm calling you out!  You have given a challenge, but not completed one yet.

Someone has hired The Operative to change the outcome of the Hayes Brothers shootout, and it is up to K.N.Y.F.E. to stop her.  Neither is dumb enough to walk into a shootout without some long range fire power on their side, so they have brought comrades to even the odds.  However, while  K.N.Y.F.E. fights alongside her friends, The Operative hides behind the cover fire her allies are creating while she gets to work.

Heroes: Expatriette, Chrono Ranger, Bunker,  K.N.Y.F.E.

Villians: Ambuscade, Greazer, Sergeant Steel, The Operative

Enviroment: Silver Gultch, 1883

Special Rules:

  • Ambuscade starts with the card "Too Many Guns" in play
  • Greazer starts with the card "Impact Neutralizer" in play
  • The Agents that Sergeant Steel starts with are "Mega-Gunner" and "Sharpshooter"
  • The Operative is immune to damage until all other Villian Character Cards are incapacitated
  • If  K.N.Y.F.E. in incapcitated, you lose
So, who will win when you bring A K.N.Y.F.E to A Gunfight!

Not for variants that haven't been released digitally, is the point. Including the Villains villains.

I've been lurking, but I'll throw my hat into the arena for challenges if anyone's willing.

Im still down

Awesome!

So, who will win when you bring  A K.N.Y.F.E to A Gunfight!

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!

James Coburn?

count me in, I love playing through this game and having strange and random shenanigans sounds like a TON of fun! usually go through the Video game version, but i do have the physical cards and space to play it on.

Sounds like it's time to refresh the list!

Open Challenge:  Thick as ThievesDefeat the Ennead, Advanced on front, in Tomb of Anubis.  With special guest Ermine as a second villain deck.(You play ~half the hero turns then have Ermine play a turn)Special Challenge rule:  Constant Prattle is indestructible. Also not required, but come on, bring Ra.

[/quote]

I didn't realize this was an open challenge, or I'd have tried it sooner! :D I did not use the special challenge rule, that would have just been evil. Team was Fugue State Parse, the Scholar, Tempest and Setting Sun Ra, because I ain't playin' around. >:B

As it is, Ermine didn't impact the game too much. She got one round of Constant Prattle off, and then I made sure that business was gone. Mostly, she just did extra damage and occasionally messed with ongoings. Her Nemeses didn't play well with the Ennead, though. Calypso + Ra = Ennead doing less damage, and at one point, flipped Osiris killed the Seer. I never concentrated fire on her, but she went down without much of a fuss.

As for the Ennead themselves, hoo boy. I do like this "advanced on the front side only" biz. I started with Nuit, but she went down in two rounds. Set was the final member to come out, and he actually died the same round because of Exploit Vulnerability. The combination of AoE damage from Tempest, Ra and, believe it or not, the environment kept them really scrambling to constantly heal. (Due to Set-nanigans, Anubis at one point had two Judgments in play, which meant 6 damage to each Ennead and zero to the Scholar. :D) I got really lucky with the Set plays (well, minus Tempest's sudden Localized Hurricane; he'd have lived if not for that), and Scholar was able to keep out two Mortal Forms for most of the game, alongside a Flesh to Iron that showed up and made him impervious to the Ennead's attacks.

That said, Ra, Tempest and Parse all went down in the same round, the first two to an Elemental Outburst, the latter to the one that destroys targets with low HP. Still, if there's anyone you want to face the might of the Ennead alone, it's the Scholar, and he gamely whittled them down so Ra could use his incap power to destroy Isis with 10 irreducible fire damage. :D

I guess this means I get to issue a challenge now? Well, in the spirit of the challenge I just finished, I will make it Open. Welcome to the Realm of Really Rather Random Ridiculousness!

Villain: The Ennead (what, again?), Advanced Mode on the front side (back side advanced and challenge rules optional)

Special Rule: Set begins the game in play, face-down. He does not count as one of the (H) cards they begin the game with.

Heroes: Choose from any of the following, any team size:

Fused Captain Cosmic
Prime Wardens Fanatic
Santa Guise
KNYFE Rogue Agent
Fugue State Parse
The Scholar (either variant)
Base Setback
Sky-Scraper Extremist
Super-Scientific Tachyon

Special Rule: When you have them available, you must play Dismiss Anything and Syntactic Analysis during your play phase. You must always put at least one card into play when doing so.

Environment: The Realm of Discord

Special Rule: Search the deck for Ghostly Images, then shuffle the deck, placing Ghostly Images on top. Ghostly Images now reads:

"At the end of the environment turn, each Player reveals the top card of their deck. If it is a One-Shot, put it into play. If it is not a One-Shot, discard it and deal that Hero 2 Psychic Damage. This card is indestructible. If this card would be discarded, put it into play instead."

Happy randoming. XD
