Asked christopher the pressing question of: "Are La Capitan and Apostate the parents of Fanatic?"
The answer: "Apostate, Fanatic and La Cpatian are not related in any way" so I'm afraid a promising avenue of speculation has been closed. It also mean Apostate is a lying liar who lies regarding Fanatic's origin, but really, who's shocked by that revelation?
That may not be entirely true - he said he "created" her, right? You can create someone without giving birth to them. He might've used his powers to give her the wings in the first place, perhaps, or otherwise affected her personality to make her who she is to day. In the same way, you could say that Baron Blade "created" Iron Legacy by killing Pauline ;).
Yep, I'm sure that guy is wrong.
I mean to say that Apostate might be responsible for the existence of Fanatic in some other way besides being her father, since we now have confirmation that he isn't ;).
That's entirely possible.
An unholy experiment to create another fallen angel, would be cool, esp. if his success ends up making the weapon that brings him down, some poetic biblical style stuff there.
I'm wuite glad we don't have a concise stroyline for Sentinels, it makes it so much more fun to create your own stories when cannon isn't lurking over your shoulder judging you.
I mean we don't know if Legacy stops Baron Blade from destroying the Earth, that's why we play the game. I think >G is doing a great job balancing the known and unknown in their universe. Leaves so much room for us to create stories that could be right.
I just thought they were two sides of the same coin, and one could not exist without the other. Apostate’s very existence requires the existence of Fanatic.
Well from what I learned this weekend, the canon absolutely is there. We just don't know it all yet, because Christopher hasn't told us everything.
That said, all the battles we fight can be thought of as possible stories, or events from alternate timelines, or even representations of many encounters that the heros had that weren't earth-shatteringly (no pun intended) important. Like defeating or evading Bowser in any castle except the last, or something.
Knowing that the canon is there makes speculation all the more fun. Pieces are there, we just have to guess at how it fits.

It will be really cool to have the official cannon, but it will (for me at least) be slightly sad for all the also awesome possible storylines that it isn't. If that makes any sense.

But we don't if this time will be the last. Sure we've foiled the last three attempts to pull the moon into the Earth, but he might have some trick up his sleeve to succeed this time.
There's an off-planet base and at least two alternate dimensions (the Realm of Discord and the world where The Block is) among the Environments we already have, not to mention Silver Gulch which is in the past. So even if the Earth was destroyed today, there are at least four places where battles could still be fought. (I for one hope we'll see more - the Thorathian Homeworld would make a neat Environment, for instance.)

There was one other Fanatic related thing revealed at the UK Games Day.
In a Vengeance game, Christopher played Fanatic, using a page from his notebook as the character card. This Fanatic was called PW Fanatic.
She had 32 hit points, as far as I can remember, and a power, whose name I've forgotten if Christopher revealed it, that deals herself 3 radiant damage and allows a hero to use a power now.
Sadly PW did not stand for Paul Watson (and why not? Surely I am awesome enough to warrant such a tribute. ;-) ).
If I've erred in revealing this informaption, could someone with admin rights delte the post?

Edit: Seems like a strange power. It functions like Embolden, but with a steeper damage penalty and takes up a power use. Is its purpose to fuel Sacrosanct Martyr? It still ends up being a 1:1 damage ratio, but with an upper limit of 8 instead of 5? I wont spend a lot of time thinking about a power coming from Christophers notebook (I am sure he has TONS of similar alt. cards for just about everyone, no doubt), but I'd love to hear the thought behind it.
Why did I not know about this notebook? I had ample opportunities to steal it!
PW = Prime Wardens, obviously. Alas, this means it's probably unlikely that we'll get this promo until the next expansion comes out, as the PW have (at least) one member we don't know yet, and it would make the most sense to release all the PW heroes at the same time. Very excited by the prospect of a promo Argent Adept, as it saddens me greatly that none of the non-core heroes get promo action (except Unity, who is sort of "honorary core", since she has a divider in the EE).
