La Capitan, Apostate and Fanatic

It would make sense for that to be the Prime Wardens Fanatic, because Argent Adept is about the only teammate I can imagine using that Power on unless I was desperate.

Isn’t Redeemer Fanatic pictured with the Prime Wardens?

Yeah that would make sense. Good call.

Well presumably the other PW characters will have new Powers as well.  But I can definitely see times when Fanny would like to take some extra damage in order to accomplish even a little - ignoring the possibility of cards giving additional powers, just the innate ability of Tempest or Young Legacy might be worth it under certain circumstances.  There's no telling when you'll want Omnitron-X's power, Expatriette loves to play Unload out of turn, heck even the Scholar might like it.  And of course, the ultimate would be for her to target herself (if that's possible) and then use Sacrosanct Martyr to dish out 8 damage.

My thing is though, that the Promo innate powers have by and large addressed a shortcoming of sorts. Bunkers two promo illustrate this simply. EoW adds to his lack of ongoing destruction, and GI helps strong aversion toward DR. Young Legacy added missing damage potential. Golem Unity added play speed. Dark Visionary frees up her Play phase for more damage oriented cards instead of support ones. Haka and Ra gain card cycling. Redeemer Fanatic gained minor mitigation and speed some speed.

PW Fanatic would raise the ceiling on Martyr to 8 sure, but its still a 1:1 damage ratio. Thats a big "meh" for me. What is interesting is that Zealous Offense would not require Absolution be in play to keep ZO around. Taking 3 damage yourself so 2 noncharacter targets cant deal damage may not be a terrible trade off if you need to keep some spaceships or Char from ripping you to shreds. And since she is a Prime Warden, of course any extra power useage, Embolden or otherwise, will never be wasted on Argent Adept.

Ideas for the other known Prime Warden promo powers:

Argent Adept - Reveal the top card of your deck until a Song is found. Activate either its Perform or Accompany text. Shuffle that Song back into your deck.

Haka - Reduce all damage dealt to hero targets by Environment cards by 1. Draw a card.

Tempest - Place 2 cards from your hand under Tempest's Character card. Increase all Lightning damage Tempest deals by 1 for every 2 cards under this card.

[Redacted] - Something something something energy damage. Thats my best guess.

I'd love to see a Prime Warden version of Fanatic, but yeah, isn't she just The Redeemer when she's a member of the PW? At least in the beginning she is.

I do hope this means we can get PW versions of each member, even though we've already got Haka and Tempest promos.

Is this confirmed information somewhere? From my understanding, The Redeemer is a reflection of where she is within her own story arch with Apostate. I do not think her status of Redeemer is a reflection of her standing within the Prime Wardens. Yes, Redeemer is shown on Silver Shadow, but is that what this is based off of? Tempest also has a dang ol' sword in that picture if I recall.

Also worth noting, it seems that the Comic issues entitled "Fanatic" are few and far between. Not sure what that means. I think Iron Legacy was seen in Fanatic #14 (please someone correct me, I think I am misremembering something).

PW does indeed stand for Prime Warden. But I know nothing about when, why or who else, if anyone, will be added with her.

One other thing to consider about PW Fanatic's base power is that if she's unable to deal damage (or is immune to it), she basically gets to let someone else use a power for free (since that part isn't reliant on her actually having to have taken damage from the first part) ;).

I have only one promo power prediction. Dang ol' sword indeed...

Well are we sure the damage that she does to herself triggers letting another hero use a power? Like, does it say:

Fanatic deals herself 3 radiant damage. One hero may use a power.

or

Fanatic deals herself 3 radiant damage. If she takes damage this way, one hero may use a power.

Because those are very different things.

It was written on a scrap piece of paper so it's completely subject to change but it was the first. There was a long period of time where Fanatic was not dealing herself damage but others still got to use powers.

Personally I'd like to see it change to the "if you do damage" version.

At that point though, promo Fanatic's power would just be much, much worse than Greatest Legacy. As cool as EoW's base power is, I think we have enough heroes with situationally useless innate powers.

Ohoh?  So you know who the fifth Prime Warden is?  None of the heroes in Vengeance is a match, so that means he's coming in whatever set is after Vengeance, which you're already playtesting!  Oh boy, I won't have my hands on Vengance for six months and already I can't wait for the set after it!

I don't see his yellow ball of light being frost damage is all :p (referring to Silver Shadow art. Argents deck).

The Redacted part implies that you know his actual name.  Hence I'm salivating over your forbidden knowledge.  I'm not asking to get in on it of course; that would spoil half the fun.

I don't think this new power is entirely useless. Again, the thing is you don't have to use it. I can see it being useful for turns where you need another hero to use extra powers obviously, and it only helps you get closer to using Wrathful Retribution. Plus, like we already mentioned, you can combine the power with Zealous Offense to shut down other targets' damage until you get an Absolution. I think the power will be fun to experiment with.

Though yes, from an objective standpoint, it is worse than Greatest Legacy's power. But I think it's designed for Fanatic's martyr theme. Take one for the team so that the others succeed.

I didn't say it was a bad power, I just said I don't think there should be a conditional for the effect to be relient on damage being done. I do think you should be able to get the benefit of the power even if damage is prevented for some reason, that way there is no situation where your innate power is just pointless.

Points at damage reduction for base Fanatic's power, points at times when target is immune to damage for Legacy's Galvanize, points at Tachyon's rapid recon after a Don't Dismiss Anything.

There are many situations where a base power is pointless, or even a non-base power.

It is a very different approach to Fanatic, both her base powers currently get used a ton, and with it able to go straight into Martyr it could be cool.

I'd love a deal self 3 radiant, heal 1 or 2, someone uses a power, just because that would actually make Martyr more than a 1 for 1.

Also adding that Fanatic into the Greatest Legacy and Argent Adept teams, every turn every hero could use a power.  For fun!
