They started it.
No offense, McBehrer, but if you playtested for a big company like Wotco with this kind of casual disregard for confidentiality, you would quite likely end up getting sued for damages. If I were the >G guys I would definitely revoke your playtester status because you can't keep from spilling the occasional beans. (Not in this thread, here you're only giving hints, but you have made more specific spoilers elsewhere, and I'm surprised that the Citizen Hammer hasn't come down on you for it.)
He is just as excited as the rest of us man, leave McBehre be.
It is clear that McBehrer is the evil that never sleeps.
Why can't the rest of you see that?
I kind of agree. His near-slips are consistent and deliberate. I'm surprised he hasn't had his playtester status revoked yet, too (sorry, buddy).
Certainly hasn't spilled anything worthy of a ban hammer. Such a severe punishment would require a severe transgression. Point to such a post. Until then, get over it. The shrill whines that amount to little more than "stop teasing us" are just as annoying as anything he's doing.
It isn't fair to hate you, but dang am I close now
.
Well, at least this is confirmation that we were correct about her appearing, though not exactly confirmation of hero status
I wouldn't call it confirmed at all. Honestly, what McBehre said is pure speculation, even for PTs. If he's thinking of a name, theres no concrete connection between that name and the giant Thorathian. None. Hopefully that clears some confusion as to why what was said is no where near worthy of ban hammer status. Take things you read on the internet with a grain of salt every once in a while. Healthy practice.
I certainly don't think McBehrer deserves the ban-hammer (and he still wouldn't even if he hadn't paid $40 for the privilege of playtesting), but you can't really judge the annoying-ness of his posts, considering you're a playtester and thus know what he's talking about.
It's not that they're annoying, they specifically release information that he should not be releasing. For example, the latest one:
[Redacted] is not a Prime Warden. And yeah, we know her name too.
All indications are that he's talking about the giant Thorathian girl, and he's telling the world that she's not a Prime Warden. That's not his info to divulge, and he's specifically agreed not to divulge stuff like that, yet he does it all the time. I've got nothing personal against McBehrer and don't really want him to be banned from the forums, but anyone who consistently leaks little bits of info like this is breaking their agreement and should probably have their playtester priveleges revoked. It's just an observation however, since I don't have any skin in that game.
Foote, telling people to "get over it" is pretty rude. There are probably more harmonious ways to indicate that you're not bothered by something without telling people how they should feel about it, yes?
We have all known who was in the Prime Wardens since Infernal Relics Spiff. 5 members. All shown on Silver Shadow. Sounds like he is giving well known and documented information. If not explicitly confirmed already, it has been a major consensus for a long while way before Vengeance PTing. And if he thinks he knows that Thorathians name, well, I am missing the leaked information there.
And Spiff, calling for the Ban Hammer on someone unnessesarily is not equally rude? Let's stick to the subject at hand. This is not about me dude. (Not saying I don't agree with you to a point, however. Don't get me wrong there).
He isn't leaking as much as you'd like to think he is.
Call me old fashioned, but if he leaks anything at all, except by the rare accident, then he's broken the agreement he made when he became a playtester, and shouldn't be allowed to be a playtester. I'm not sure why that's a controversial idea. You seem to think that it's OK to consistently leak lots of little stuff as long as he doesn't leak something you consider big and important, and maybe that's a legitimite difference of opinion. But no, I don't think simply pointing out that a guy who violates the playtester agreement should probably not be a playtester is rude. That seems like common sense to me. I'm not trying to pick a fight with anyone.
My contention isn't that he didnt leak anything of conseqence. My contention is that he didn't leak anything period. This comes down to an argument about whether him saying he thinks he knows the name of an unreleased character should be classified as "leaking information". We are just going to have to agree to disagree there mate.
Hey! There are a few of us who can ban McBehrer, and it's none of the people in this discussion! (Well, up until now...)
The people who CAN ban people are paying attention to everything, and have talked to individuals before about their posting habits (*ahem - keep it under control, kid*) but, either way, it's not your decision. It's the decision of those elusive few who do actually weild the ban hammer. Who are they? The Multiverse may never know. It is said they are perpetually cloaked in shadow and that they live in an unfindable cave on the top of an unclimbable mountain, deep in an unknowable forest, surrounded by an uncrossable river...
But, then again, manything are said, and that's probably a pile of nonsense. Pfft. Surely there is no secret mastermind who pulls all the strings...
As you were, citizens.
I new Christopher was aligned with Dawn.
Maybe he's actually Citizen Dusk, and the whole Anvil thing is just a front ;).
But he isn’t a character card, so he doesn’t have a back.
I went there last spring for vacation. It's quite nice actually, but I don't recommend trying the Tuna Casserole.
Well, it's pretty obvious the Thorathian is not the bearded guy with the energy stuff, who IS the other Prime Warden probably.
Also, to correct Spiff, they WERE fairly consistent. That was more of a speculation, and a pretty small one at that, but I haven't seriously leaked anything in a while; not since we talked, at any rate.
Also, saying someone shouldn't deserve to be a playtester KIND OF falls under the perview of "trying to pick a fight with anyone."
