I was curious who people like pairing OX with to synergize his base power.
So far unity is my hands down favorite since you can trigger golems out of her play turn, but I was curious if there is any other combo that would be a better choice than her
He works well just after the adept uses vernal sonata, or if he's after dark visionary too after she uses turmoil, you could stop something incredibly painful from happening with the villain deck.
I tend to use is power mostly on himself no matter what allies are present. At least up until he has a plating out and a few components, typically by that point I will be using one of his other powers though, like Rocket Punch or Bio-Engineering Beam.
Though if I am up against Miss Information I would use it on her every round until she flips! And depending on how well we are controlling the Dreamer I mar use it on her after she slips to get a few more Projections in play.
Argent Adept, like Unity, is another character who just wants to get out a bunch of stuff, not really caring precisely what. I like using it on him to reap the benefits of increased support efficiency.
It defaults to Omni, since he basically wants to play all of his cards except for platings. But if there's a Unity or Wraith or Miss Information or Kismet around he often has better targets.
That sounds awesome! You should face Ambuscade also, and have Tempest Into the Stratosphere the Cloaking Device and Omni-X play it so that way it flips Ambuscade again and can now be damage even though he is cloaked. Plus if Fanatic is joining them she could Chastise it so AoE could be used and not have to worry about destroying it!
Can't quite be them since this show is just about his friends, and as spider-man has taught us, firestar and iceman are "amazing" friends. Maybe cyclops and jubilee?
For me it depends on the phase of the game we're in. The first couple turns I like to give the support or high-setup heroes (Legacy/AA/Fixer/Wraith) the extra play, because usually getting the support going sooner helps the whole team. If we're not needing to project force, I'll try to set up my own board, like Ronway said, but later game I try to get the nukers playing as many cards as possible to maximize their output ("Why yes, I would like to play another Chain Lightning, thanks for asking!").
Also: I think "OX and Friends" would be a GREAT Scooby Doo-style show. Argent Adept would totally be Shaggy... you know the guy has to be stoned out of his gourd the whole time, right? "Oh hey, this super villain might kill us all... who's up for some smooth jazz, man?"
Yeah - I see the Adept as a Bard, basically. More specifically, an EQ Bard (whose mechanics I'm pretty familiar with). He uses music to support the team and has a lot of variety, therefore is useful in pretty much any situation and always welcome in a group :D.
