I’ve been playing for a bit and really like to read the bios just for more of an idea what each hero is like. When I was checking earlier today on the Argent Adept’s page and noticed he was affiliated with the Prime Wardens. I though I recognized the name, and upon a bit of further searching, realized that both Haka and Tempest are affiliated with them too. So, who are these ‘Prime Wardens’?
They appear to be the Defenders to the Freedom Five's Avengers. They appear in force, with two members you haven't mentioned, on one of Argent Adept's cards.
That makes me want to get my kickstarter that much more.
Actually the art of Silver Shadow (the card pwatson1974 mentioned) includes Argent Adept, Haka, Tempest, Fanatic (in her alternate form), and a masked man with a red and gold costume/uniform and golden energy around one fist. (It also shows AA's silver shadow, which some folks have mistaken for another member of the team.) So there's only one member we don't know...
Thanks for the heads-up on some of the old heroes now being affiliated with the Prime Wardens. My PDF of the biographies didn't reflect that (but it does now).
Speaking of the unidentified man in red and gold, after seeing him, I thought I recognized the colors of a boot and part of a leg in the Realm of Discord. I forget what the card's real name is, but I think it's "Claustrophobic Disallusion" or something. So he's in the Realm of Discord at some point. Assuming that is actually his foot and leg.
Maybe he's the second hero in Time & Space? I guess he'd be the "Space" to CR's "Time", if he is the other one (which would explain him being in an interdimensional realm). Anyone else think it's possible? I'd say he's at least got a good chance of showing up at some point since it'd be weird to have this Prime Wardens team and leave one of the members out of the game.
Then again, Fanatic's bio doesn't list her as affiliated with the Prime Wardens, so maybe it's just a coincidence that three of the people pictured are associated with this group.
However, when it comes to SotM, I don't believe in coincidences. I think I'll throw in my chips with this guy being a new hero in this expansion. I think we've got solid reasoning. Also, I have no other guesses than this guy as to the second hero, so it's all or nothing.
Well, Fanatic's bio now lists her affiliated with the Prime Wardens, so there is no such thing as coincidence.
Whoa, you're right. Did... Did I just will that to happen in hopes that it would validate my guess even more?
I was just able to look at my cards again, and the flavor text of "Silver Shadow" says the comic is Prime Wardens #1. It's gotta be this red & gold guy. He looks pretty cool.
It makes me happy when all of us can pool information and figure these things out together.
Thanks, Internet, for making these sort of things possible!
And Greater Than Games for creating it!
Let's give everyone a round of applause!
Now where's the emoticon for clapping hands?
sigh
You have made me sad…
(Yeah, one day we'll get interesting and entertaining emoticons. One day…)
The Prime Wardens were formed to take on the evil Akash'Bhuta. I hear they only have to band together a week out of every month though, since that is when her rampaging really shows.
Yeah, women jokes!
That red and gold guy? It's the Scholar.
maybe. probably.
Definitely not.
Yeah, there's a noticeable age difference between the two of them. At first, I thought that theory held some ground, but I don't think alchemy extends to making yourself younger.
Mr. Red & Gold will just remain out of reach for now.
Hell, maybe he's gonna be in Vengeance. I guess we'll see. You can't keep him from us forever!
Aww... welp. At least we got it answered.
Also, I didn't have the card in front of me to look at it.
My group played a game once with the known members of the Prime Wardens, and they were a pretty solid team. Can't wait until the final team member is revealed.
That was a fun game! The Argent Adept was a conductor of fists, fire, and fury that match!
