Rook City Renegades - announcement

I think that was from before the timeline work they did, when they realized a lot of their stuff happened earlier than they thought. Harpy and Voss’ invasion were two things they said happened WAY earlier than they originally envisioned.

Alright, last chance for predictions on final environment. Diamond Manor? The Swamp? RevoCorp HQ?

I think Diamond Manor! Would be cool to see what kind of whacky relics and crazy monsters are kept there. As well as the people that live in it.

As OddBallPaladin mentioned they kept thinking a lot of their timeline occurred in the aughts so they’ve made a lot of adjustments. Once we have the History of Sentinel Comics book we should have the definitive timeline for the multiverse era at least.

Diamond Manor it is! I’m actually a little surprised, simply because I can’t imagine villains showing up there all that often. Especially not for a fight…

Gloomweaver would certainly like to, from the look of things…

  • I like how New Orleans apparently teleported up to Pennsylvania. (Kidding, but both the architecture of the manor and the foliage outside look much more Deep South to me than mid-Atlantic.)
  • No, Lillian. Don’t get that book. That book looks gross.
  • In the Arcane Observatory, is that…a corner of a Justice Comics book? Or a flag?

Looks to me like something from the Iron Legacy timeline (probably a flag).

On Arcane Observatory, it’s definitely an Iron Legacy flag in the top right. I’m not sure what’s on the middle left; looks like some sort of melting face? It might be the Akash-Planet from the Mists of Time art in Nightmist’s old deck, since this card uses its flavor text.

Also, there’s super-realistic eye in the upper left, which is probably just more eldritch creepiness, but I’d like to imagine it’s the reader’s eye watching from the Metaverse in a 4th wall break.

Also “The Grand Revel” looks mean! Maybe not as bad as Kaargra’s “Fickle Fans” or “Get Back in There” but it’s on a similar level totally shaking up the game.

Last chance for anyone to support a dark horse candidate who’s not Alpha! :wolf:

Number Five? A teleporter would be quite cool.

Edit: A Klaus and Ben deck would be sweet as well.

It was a metaphor.

Fashion? :joy:

gasp It’s Alpha!

Not gonna lie, I definitely thought she would be like a mix of Naturalist and Sky-Scraper (two character cards, that each activate a different effect on cards), but this is cool too!

I also just realized how weird Sky-Scraper’s FA character cards are going to be if they let her keep 3 character cards…

I didn’t know her civilian name was “Tammy,” and now all I can think of is Parks and Recreation.

So it occurs to me that now Dark Watch joins the hero teams that have 5 members plus a closely-affiliated-but-not-technically-member hero.

  • Freedom Five + Unity
  • Prime Wardens + Ra
  • Dark Watch + Alpha

You could sort of argue that Void Guard + The Sentinels fit that pattern, too, or maybe Void Guard + Sky-Scraper, but I don’t think she is actually close with that team besides sharing significant personal events in the Bloodsworn Colosseum. Also, there are only four members of Void Guard.

I would be incredibly surprised if they included The Southwest Sentinels in the same set as Void Guard. My current guess is that Void Guard will be accompanied by Sky-Scraper and Fashion in a set called “Cosmic Tales”.

It’s Void Guard plus Lifeline, right? Cause he was fightin’ buddies with Writhe in the Colosseum.

As far as Fashion - man, I hope we get her sometime! She’s too cool to be relegated to the RPG era only!
