I believe you’re referring to OblivAeon!
Hah, that’s not impossible. It depends on how the heroes shake out.
The big sticking point right now is the Southwest Sentinels and the Void Guard; if they stick with those decks, we need an expansion with the Sentinels, and we need an expansion that’s mostly Void Guard. The original Oblivaeon expansion had a ton of extra mini-expansion heroes released alongside it, which presumably isn’t going to be a thing this time.
So the question becomes - do all the ex-villains end up in Oblivaeon, and the Void Guard become the backbone of an expansion, or do Luminary and the Void Guard end up in Oblivaeon and we get our other ex-villains elsewhere?
I think the next two expansions are Vengeance/team Villains, and then Space (unsure on names).
Vengeance:
- Naturalist
- Akash’Thriya (those two should be together)
- Scholar
- Guise (again, should be together)
- SWS (don’t make sense in space, and take place in some team villain stuff afaik)
- Young Legacy
Space:
1-4. Void Guard (literally a space team)
5. Sky-Scraper (alien)
6. Fashion (space hero)
OA:
- Stuntman (reformed right before)
- Lifeline (reformed right before/hates OA)
- Luminary (reformed for OA)
- Comodora (does stuff to fight OA)
- Benchmark (late hero, no where else to go)
- Rambler (Grimm nemesis, sketchy character)
Those lineups just fit too neatly for me to not think that’ll be what happens.
Edit: Benchmark and Young Legacy could be swapped!
That does make sense. I don’t think they’d swap Benchmark and Young Legacy, they seem decently committed to one new hero per expansion. I suppose they could swap Rambler and Young Legacy if they want to hold her to the end of the series.
I really like what they did with Con’s Bunker and the Ancient Library, what with them being targets that the cryptids attack and causing heroes to deal themselves fixed psychic damage when they’re destroyed. Plus, it’s interesting that the Library is a Relic—that really bucks tradition, as we’re used to Relics being hand-held artefacts. (Although I suppose Apostate always had some that weren’t.)
Depending on whether or not Chrono-Ranger is on a mission into the past!
Huh…Con and…???
Clone-Ranger? Maybe CON’s components count as different robots? Maybe Schema somehow survived? Or some form(s) of Omnitron? Maybe Unity left some bots there?
I don’t think fleshchildren count as bots per se, do they? I guess Unity could have made some traditional robots in addition to CON. Heal Bot maybe, if it’s not all just incorporated into the bunker? There was obviously one instance of a T-Rex Bot, but we haven’t heard that full story. Seems to me any bot animated by the pink “magic” wouldn’t be active when Devra isn’t around. Unless something fishy is going on…
From the art, and how Unity’s stuff has never really gotten away from her, I would have to guess that it’s something else, and probably what inspired Mamma Chomps.
I wonder if one of them is something like a half-wrecked Onmitron or Terrorform…
From Episode 53:
The Environment “bio” mentions “at least 3” robots - who are they other than CON? Just some maintenance robots, nobody important.
Interesting. I think the important words here are “at least”. Episode 53 was also a loooooooonnnggg time ago, so they’ve certainly had a chance to come up with more robot inhabitants, temporary though they may be.

And the bio was written even longer ago
And, also, they lie to us sometimes!

Careful, if you do that too rapidly it’ll ask if you’re a bot!
sees start of update Well now I feel a little guilty. Rest up, everyone at GTG. Feel better soon!
Oh, man, those two are just gloriously 90s. Interesting mechanic; it definitely looks complex, but in a fun way.
And full respect on Darkstrife being the much more sexualized of the pair. That “sleeves and no shirt” combo plus the hourglass waist and multiple belts is just a chef’s kiss design choice.

Painstake: Slightly more modest Psylocke.
Darkstrife: Devil May Cry alternate skin.
Considering Adam’s penchant for sexy guys this doesn’t surprise me at all. Amuse me, yes, surprise, no.
I will admit that it wasn’t until this update that I realized their names are A & Z.
